٢٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُعَلَّى الأَدَمِيُّ، ثنا جَابِرُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا سَلامٌ أَبُو الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ ﷺ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فِي هَيْئَةِ رَجُلٍ شَاحِبٍ مُسَافِرٍ حَتَّى وَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: مَا الإِسْلامُ؟ فَقَالَ: تَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، وَإِقَامُ الصَّلاةِ، وَإِيتَاءُ الزَّكَاةِ، وَصَوْمُ رَمَضَانَ، وَحَجُّ الْبَيْتِ، قَالَ: فَإِذَا فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ أَسْلَمْتُ، قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: صَدَقْتَ، قَالَ: فَتَعَجَّبْنَا مِنْ سُؤَالِهِ إِيَّاهُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَتَصْدِيقَهُ إِيَّاهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: مَا الإِحْسَانُ،؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: تَخْشَى اللَّهَ كَأَنَّكَ تَرَاهُ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ تَرَاهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَرَاكَ، قَالَ: فَإِذَا فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ أَحْسَنْتُ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: صَدَقْتَ، قَالَ: فَأَخْبِرْنِي مَا الإِيمَانُ؟، قَالَ: الإِيمَانُ بِاللَّهِ، وَمَلائِكَتِهِ، وَكُتُبِهِ، وَرَسُولِهِ، وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ، وَالْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ، وَالْبَعْثِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ، وَالْقَدَرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرِّهِ، قَالَ: فَإِذَا فَعَلْتُ ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ آمَنْتُ، قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: صَدَقْتَ، قَالَ: فَمَتَى السَّاعَةُ؟ قَالَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا الْمَسْئُولُ عَنْهَا بِأَعْلَمَ مِنَ السَّائِلِ، وَلَكِنْ لَهَا أَشْرَاطٌ: إِذَا رَأَيْتَ الأَمَةَ وَلَدَتْ رَبَّتَهَا، وَرَأَيْتَ الْحُفَاةَ الْعُرَاةَ الْعَالَةَ يَعْنِي الْعَرَبَ وَلُوا النَّاسَ "، قَالَ: صَدَقْتَ، ثُمَّ وَلَّى، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: «عَلَيَّ بِالرَّجُلِ»، فَنَظَرَ فَلَمْ يَرَ شَيْئًا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: تَدْرُونَ مَنْ هَذَا؟ قُلْنَا: اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ، قَالَ: «هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ جَاءَ لِيُعَلِّمَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ، مَا جَاءَنِي فِي صُورَةٍ قَطُّ إِلا عَرَفْتُهُ غَيْرَ هَذِهِ الْمَرَّةِ».
#24 24 - Ahmad ibn Mu'alla al-Adami narrated to us, Jabir ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Salam Abu al-Munthir narrated to us, on the authority of 'Asim, on the authority of Abu Dhabyan, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, that Gabriel (pbuh) came to the Prophet (pbuh) in the form of a pale traveling man until he placed his hand upon the knees of the Prophet (pbuh) and said: "What is Islam?" He replied: "That you testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, the establishment of prayer, the giving of zakat, the fasting of Ramadan, and the pilgrimage to the House." He said: "If I do that, have I submitted?" He said: "Yes." He said: "You have spoken the truth." He [Ibn Abbas] said: "We were amazed by his questioning the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and his confirming him." Then he said: "What is Excellence (Ihsan)?" The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "That you fear Allah as if you see Him, for if you do not see Him, then He surely sees you." He said: "If I do that, have I achieved excellence?" He said: "Yes." He said: "You have spoken the truth." He said: "Then inform me, what is Faith (Iman)?" He said: "Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messenger, the Last Day, Paradise and Hell, the Resurrection after death, and the Divine Decree (al-Qadar), both its good and its evil." He said: "If I do that, have I believed?" He said: "Yes." He said: "You have spoken the truth." He said: "So when is the Hour?" He said: "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, the one being questioned about it is no more knowledgeable than the questioner, but it has signs: when you see the slave-girl give birth to her mistress, and when you see the barefoot, naked, and destitute—meaning the Arabs—becoming the rulers of the people." He said: "You have spoken the truth," then he turned away. The Prophet (pbuh) said: "Bring the man back to me," so they looked but did not see anything. Then the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Do you know who this was?" We said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said: "This was Gabriel, he came to teach you your religion; he never came to me in any form except that I recognized him, other than this time."

24 - Na ka treguar Ahmed ibn Mual-la el-Ademi, na ka treguar Xhabir ibn Ishak, na ka treguar Selam Ebu el-Munthir, nga Asimi, nga Ebu Dhubjuni, nga Ibn Abbasi, se Xhibrili (a.s.) erdhi tek Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) në formën e një burri të zbehtë e udhëtar, derisa i vendosi duart mbi gjunjët e Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.) e tha: "Çfarë është Islami?" Ai u përgjigj: "Të dëshmosh se nuk ka zot tjetër (që meriton adhurimin) përveç Allahut dhe se Muhamedi është i Dërguari i Allahut, falja e namazit, dhënia e zeqatit, agjërimi i Ramazanit dhe kryerja e Haxhit në Shtëpi." Ai tha: "Nëse e bëj këtë, a jam dorëzuar (u bëra musliman)?" Ai u përgjigj: "Po." Ai tha: "Të vërtetën the." Ai [Ibn Abbasi] tha: "U habitëm nga pyetja që i bëri të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.) dhe vërtetimi që i bëri atij." Pastaj ai tha: "Çfarë është Ihsani (përsosmëria)?" I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: "Ta kesh frikë Allahun sikur po e sheh Atë, sepse edhe nëse ti nuk e sheh Atë, Ai me siguri të sheh ty." Ai tha: "Nëse e bëj këtë, a kam arritur ihsanin?" Ai u përgjigj: "Po." Ai tha: "Të vërtetën the." Ai tha: "Më njofto, çfarë është Imani (besimi)?" Ai tha: "Besimi është të besosh në Allahun, engjëjt e Tij, librat e Tij, të dërguarin e Tij, Ditën e Fundit, Xhenetin dhe Zjarrin, Ringjalljen pas vdekjes dhe në Kader (paracaktim), në të mirën dhe të keqen e tij." Ai tha: "Nëse e bëj këtë, a kam besuar?" Ai u përgjigj: "Po." Ai tha: "Të vërtetën the." Ai tha: "Kur do të jetë Ora (Kiameti)?" Ne thamë: "Allahu dhe i Dërguari i Tij e dinë më së miri." Ai tha: "Ky ishte Xhibrili, erdhi t'ju mësojë fenë tuaj; nuk më ka ardhur asnjëherë në ndonjë formë pa e njohur atë, përveç kësaj here."
