#1789 1789 - Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Jabbar narrated to us, Yunus ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Uthman ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from 'A'ishah bint Sa'd, from her father Sa'd, who said: When the people scattered away from the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) during the retreat on the day of Uhud, I said to myself: "I shall remain steadfast; either I will attain martyrdom or I will survive until I reach the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)." While I was in that state, I saw a man with his face covered, and I did not know who he was. The polytheists began advancing toward him, and I thought: "They have surely overtaken him." He then filled his hand with pebbles and threw them into their faces, and they retreated back on their heels until they were bewildered and ended up by the mountain. He did this several times, and I still did not know who he was. Between me and him was al-Miqdad. Just as I intended to ask al-Miqdad about him, al-Miqdad said: "O Sa'd, this is the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) calling you." I asked: "Where is he?" Al-Miqdad pointed him out to me, so I rose, and it was as if no harm had afflicted me at all. He said: "Where have you been all day, O Sa'd?" and he seated me in front of him. I sat shooting arrows and saying: "O Allah, here is an arrow I shoot at Your enemy," while the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) was saying: "O Allah, answer Sa'd's prayer; O Allah, make his aim accurate. Go on, Sa'd, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you." For every arrow I shot, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) would say: "O Allah, make his aim accurate and answer his prayer. Go on, Sa'd." When I had emptied my quiver, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) spread out his own quiver for me and handed me an arrow that had no feathers, yet it was more powerful than the others. Al-Zuhri said: The arrows that Sa'd shot on that day were one thousand.

١٧٨٩ - Na ka treguar Ahmad ibn Abd al-Xhabbar, na ka treguar Junus ibn Bukajr, na ka treguar Uthman ibn Abdillah ibn Abdurrahman, nga Aisha bint Sad, nga babai i saj Sadi, i cili ka thënë: Kur njerëzit u shpërndanë nga i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) gjatë zmbrapsjes në ditën e Uhudit, thashë me vete: "Do të qëndroj palëkundur; ose do të bie dëshmor, ose do të shpëtoj derisa të takoj të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.)."
