١٨١٤ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا أَبُو الْمُسَاوِرِ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُسَاوِرٍ، ثنا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ مَيْمُونٍ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ خَيْبَرَ نَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِحَضْرَةِ أَهْلِ خَيْبَرَ، فَأَعْطَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ اللِّوَاءَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، ﵁، وَنَهَضَ مَنْ نَهَضَ مَعَهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ، فَلَقَوْا أَهْلَ خَيْبَرَ، فَكُشِفَ عُمَرُ وَأَصْحَابُهُ، فَرَجَعَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَجْبُنُهُ أَصْحَابُهُ، وَهُوَ يَجْبُنُ أَصْحَابَهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: " لأَعْطِيَنَّ الرَّايَةَ غَدًا رَجُلا يُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ، وَيُحِبُّهُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ مِنَ الْغَدِ، دَعَا عَلِيًّا ﵁، فَدَفَعَهَا إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ أَرْمَدُ، فَتَفَلَ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ، وَأَعْطَاهُ اللِّوَاءَ، وَصَارَ مَعَهُ النَّاسُ، وَأَتَى أَهْلَ خَيْبَرَ، وَإِذَا مَرْحَبٌ يَرْتَجِزُ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ، يَقُولُ: قَدْ عَلِمَتْ خَيْبَرُ أَنِّي مَرْحَبُ … شَاكِ السِّلاح بَطَلٌ مُجَرَّبُ أَطْعَنُ أَحْيَانًا وَحِينًا أُضْرَبُ … إِذَا السُّيُوفُ أَقْبَلَتْ تَلَهَّبُ فَاخْتَلَفَ هُوَ وَعَلِيٌّ ﵁ ضَرْبَتَيْنِ، فَضَرَبَهُ عَلِيٌّ ﵁ عَلَى هَامَتِهِ، حَتَّى عَضَّ السَّيْفُ بِأَضْرَاسِهِ، وَسَمِعَ أَهْلُ الْعَسْكَرِ صَوْتَ ضَرْبَتِهِ، وَمَا تَتَامَّ آخِرُ النَّاسِ حَتَّى فَتَحَ أَوَّلُهُمْ.
شرح قَالَ الْبَزَّارُ: لا نَعْلَمُهُ عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ.
#1814 1814 - Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, Abu al-Musawir al-Fadl ibn Musawir narrated to us, 'Awf narrated to us, from Maymun Abu 'Abd Allah, from 'Abd Allah ibn Buraydah, from his father, who said: When it was the day of Khaybar, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) encamped in the presence of the people of Khaybar. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) gave the banner to 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), and those who rose with him among the people went forth. They met the people of Khaybar, but 'Umar and his companions were pushed back. He returned to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) with his companions accusing him of cowardice and he accusing his companions of cowardice. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) then said: "Tomorrow I shall surely give the banner to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and whom Allah and His Messenger love." When the next day arrived, he summoned 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and handed it to him while he was suffering from an eye ailment. He (pbuh) spat in his eyes and gave him the banner. The people went with him until he reached the people of Khaybar, where Marhab was reciting war poetry before them, saying: "Khaybar already knows that I am Marhab, fully armed, a seasoned hero. Sometimes I stab and sometimes I strike, when the swords advance and blaze." Then he and 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) exchanged two blows, and 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) struck him on the crown of his head until the sword bit into his molars. The people of the army heard the sound of his blow, and the last of the people had not yet fully arrived before the first of them had achieved victory.

١٨١٤ - Na tregoi Muhamed ibn el-Muthena, na tregoi Ebu el-Musavir el-Fadl ibn Musavir, na tregoi Aufi, nga Mejmuni Ebu Abdullahu, nga Abdullah ibn Burejde, e ky nga babai i tij, i cili ka thënë: Kur ishte dita e Hejberit, i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) fushoi pranë banorëve të Hejberit. I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ia dha flamurin Omer ibn el-Hatabit (r.a.) dhe me të u nisën edhe njerëz të tjerë. Ata u ndeshën me banorët e Hejberit, por Omeri dhe shokët e tij u zmbrapsën. Ai u kthye tek i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ndërsa shokët e tij e quanin atë frikacak, ashtu siç i quante edhe ai ata. Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: "Nesër, me siguri do t'ia jap flamurin një burri që e do Allahun dhe të Dërguarin e Tij, dhe të cilin e do Allahu dhe i Dërguari i Tij." Kur erdhi e nesërmja, ai thirri Aliun (r.a.) dhe ia dorëzoi atë, ndonëse ai vuante nga një dhimbje sysh. Ai (s.a.v.s.) i pështyu lehtë në sytë e tij dhe ia dha flamurin. Njerëzit u nisën me të dhe ai u doli para banorëve të Hejberit. Aty doli Merhabi duke recituar vargje lufte para tyre:
"Hejberi e di tashmë se unë jam Merhabi,
I armatosur gjer në dhëmbë, një trim i sprovuar.
Ndonjëherë godas me heshtë e herë tjetër me shpatë,
Kur shpatat vijnë përpara duke flakëruar."
Pastaj ai dhe Aliu (r.a.) shkëmbyen dy goditje. Aliu (r.a.) e goditi atë në majë të kokës, saqë shpata i depërtoi deri te dhëmballët. Ushtria e dëgjoi zhurmën e goditjes së tij dhe ende pa arritur njerëzit e fundit, të parët e tyre e kishin arritur fitoren.
