#1827 1827 - Ali bin Shu'aib and Abdullah bin Ayyub al-Makhrami narrated to us, they said: Ali bin Asim narrated to us, Sulayman al-Taymi narrated to us, from Anas, who said: A youth from among us, from the Ansar, said on the day of Hunayn: "We shall not be defeated today due to small numbers." But it was only a matter of meeting our enemy and the people retreated. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) was upon a mule belonging to him, with Abu Sufyan bin al-Harith holding its bridle and al-Abbas, his uncle, holding its stirrup. We were in a dusty valley, and the dust rose such that none of us could see his own hand, when a figure approached. He (the Prophet) said: "Stand back! Who are you?" He replied: "I am Abu Bakr, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you," and he had more than ten wounds. Then another figure approached, and he said: "Stand back! Who are you?" He replied: "I am Umar bin al-Khattab, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you," and he had more than ten wounds. Then another figure approached, having more than ten wounds, and he said: "Stand back! Who are you?" He replied: "Uthman bin Affan, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you." Then another figure approached, having more than ten wounds, and he said: "Stand back! Who are you?" He replied: "Ali bin Abi Talib, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you." Then the people approached, and the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Is there not a man with a loud voice who will go and call out among the people?" So a man went and cried out, and as soon as his voice reached their ears, they returned. Then the Prophet (pbuh) charged and the Muslims charged with him, and the polytheists were defeated. Durayd bin al-Simmah withdrew to a small hill—or he said: to a mound—with approximately six hundred men. Some of his companions said to him: "By Allah, I see a battalion approaching." He said: "Describe them to me." They said: "Their markings are such-and-such, and their appearance is such-and-such." He said: "No harm to you, these are Quda'ah setting out in the tracks of the people." They said: "By Allah, we see a rugged battalion approaching." He said: "Describe them to me." He said: "Their markings are such-and-such from their appearance such-and-such." He said: "No harm to you, these are Sulaym." Then they said: "We see a lone horseman approaching." He said: "Woe to you! Alone?" They said: "Alone." He said: "Describe him to me." They said: "Clad in a black turban." Durayd said: "That, by Allah, is al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam, and he, by Allah, is your slayer and the one who will drive you out from this place of yours." He (al-Zubayr) turned toward them and said: "Why are these people here?" Then he proceeded and those who followed him, and three hundred were killed there, and the head of Durayd bin al-Simmah was cut off and placed before him.

I vetëm?" Ata thanë: "I vetëm."
