#1841 1841 - Umar bin al-Khattab narrated to us, Asbagh bin al-Faraj narrated to us, Abdullah bin Wahb narrated to us, from Amr bin al-Harith, from Sa'id bin Abi Hilal, from Utbah bin Abi Utbah, from Nafi' bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, who said: It was said to Umar bin al-Khattab: "Tell us about the matter of the [Expedition of] Hardship." Umar said: "We set out with the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) to Tabuk during intense heat, and we stopped at a place where we were afflicted by such severe thirst that we thought our necks would snap. Indeed, one of us would go out seeking a place to relieve himself and would not return until he thought his neck would snap. A man would even slaughter his camel, squeeze its stomach contents and drink it, and place the rest on his stomach. Abu Bakr al-Siddiq said: 'O Messenger of Allah, indeed Allah has accustomed you to good in this world, so supplicate.' The Prophet (pbuh) said: 'Would you like that, O Abu Bakr?' He replied: 'Yes.' Then the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) raised his hands and did not lower them until the sky spoke [responded]; it became overcast and then poured down rain, and they filled whatever vessels they had with them. Then we went to look, and we found that it did not extend beyond the camp."

Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) tha: 'A dëshiron këtë, o Ebu Bekër?'
