#1844 1844 - Abd al-A'la ibn Hammad narrated to us, Muslim ibn Khalid narrated to us, from Ibn Khuthaym, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, that when the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) alighted at al-Hijr during the expedition of Tabuk, he stood to address the people and said: "O people, do not ask your Prophet for signs—or do not ask your Prophet about signs—for the people of Salih asked their Prophet to send them a sign, so Allah (mighty and majestic is He) sent them the she-camel. She used to approach from this mountain pass, drinking their water on her day of drinking, and she would depart from this mountain pass. But they were defiant toward the command of their Lord and hamstrung the she-camel. So it was said to them: 'Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days,' or it was said to them: 'Indeed, the punishment shall come to you within three days.' Then the Cry struck them, and Allah destroyed everyone among them who was beneath the easts and wests of the earth, except for one man who was in the Sanctuary of Allah, which protected him from the punishment of Allah." They asked: "O Messenger of Allah, who was he?" He said: "Abu Righal." It was asked: "And who is Abu Righal?" He said: "The ancestor of Thaqif."

Ata pyetën: "O i Dërguari i Allahut, kush ishte ai?" Ai u përgjigj: "Ebu Rigali." U pyet: "E kush është Ebu Rigali?" Ai tha: "Paraardhësi i fiseve Thekif."
