١٨٤٨ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بشر، وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ: عَنْ بشر قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ: «لَتُفْتَحَنَّ الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةُ، وَلَنِعْمَ الأَمِيرُ أَمِيرُهَا، وَلَنِعْمَ الْجَيْشُ ذَلِكَ الْجَيْشُ»، قَالَ: فَحَدَّثْتُ مَسْلَمَةَ بِهَذَا فَغَزَاهَا.
#1848 1848 - Muhammad ibn al-Ala' narrated to us, Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, al-Walid ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, from Ubaydullah ibn Bishr—and others said: from Bishr—who said: I heard the Prophet (pbuh) say: "Constantinople shall surely be conquered; what an excellent commander is its commander, and what an excellent army is that army." He said: "So I narrated this to Maslamah, and he then campaigned against it."

١٨٤٨ - Na ka treguar Muhamed ibn el-Ala', na ka treguar Zejd ibn el-Hubabi, na ka treguar el-Velid ibn el-Mugira, nga Ubejdullah ibn Bishri – ndërsa të tjerët kanë thënë: nga Bishri – i cili ka thënë: E kam dëgjuar Pejgamberin (s.a.v.s.) duke thënë: "Gjithsesi do të çlirohet Kostandinopoja; sa prijës i shkëlqyer është prijësi i saj dhe sa ushtri e shkëlqyer është ajo ushtri." Ai (Bishri) tha: "Ia tregova këtë Meslemes, dhe ai pas kësaj ndërmori fushatë ushtarake kundër saj."
