٢٥١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْبَزَّارُ، ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ تَمِيمٍ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ كَثِيرَ بْنَ الصَّلْتِ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عُثْمَانَ وَهُوَ مَحْصُورٌ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: يَا كَثِيرُ! لا أَرَانِي إِلا مَقْتُولا فِي يَوْمِي هَذَا، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: بَلْ يَنْصُرُكَ اللَّهُ عَلَى عَدُوِّكَ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ أَعَادَ عَلَيَّ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: قِيلَ لَكَ فِيهِ شَيْءٌ؟ قَالَ: لا، وَلَكِنْ سَهِرْتُ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ عِنْدَ الصُّبْحِ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ، فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ﷺ: " يَا عُثْمَانُ لا تَحْبِسْنَا فَإِنَّا نَنْتَظِرُ، فَقُتِلَ مِنْ يَوْمِهِ ذَلِكَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: الْقَائِلُ لِعُثْمَانَ كَثِيرٌ؟ قَالَ: بَلَى.
#2515 2515 - Al-Hasan bin al-Sabbah al-Bazzar narrated to us, saying: Khalaf bin Tamim narrated to us, saying: Isma'il bin Ibrahim bin al-Muhajir narrated to us, saying: I heard Kathir bin al-Salt saying: I entered upon 'Uthman while he was besieged, as recorded by Abdul-Malik bin 'Umayr. He [Kathir] said: Then he ['Uthman] said: "O Kathir! I do not see myself except as being killed on this day of mine." He [Kathir] said: I said: "Rather, Allah will grant you victory over your enemy." He said: Then he repeated it to me, so I said to him: "Has something been said to you regarding this?" He said: "No, but I stayed awake this night, and when it was near dawn, I saw the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), Abu Bakr, and 'Umar. Then the Prophet of Allah (pbuh) said: 'O 'Uthman, do not keep us waiting, for we are indeed waiting [for you].'" He was then killed on that very day. He [the sub-narrator] said: I asked: "Is the one speaking to 'Uthman Kathir?" He said: "Yes."

2515 - Na ka treguar el-Hasan bin es-Sabbah el-Bezzari, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Halef bin Temimi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ismail bin Ibrahim bin el-Muhaxhiri, i cili ka thënë: E kam dëgjuar Kethir bin es-Saltin duke thënë: Hyra te Uthmani kur ai ishte i rrethuar – sipas transmetimit të Abdulmelik bin Umejrit – e ai tha: "O Kethir! Nuk e shoh veten ndryshe, përveçse të vrarë në këtë ditë timen." Kethiri tha: I thashë: "Përkundrazi, Allahu do të të japë fitore mbi armikun tënd." Tha: Pastaj ai ma përsëriti këtë, prandaj i thashë: "A të është thënë diçka rreth kësaj?" Tha: "Jo, por qëndrova zgjuar gjatë kësaj nate, dhe kur erdhi koha e sabahut, pashë të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.), Ebu Bekrin dhe Omerin, dhe i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: 'O Uthman, mos na bëj të presim, sepse ne vërtet po të presim.'" Ai u vra po atë ditë. Tha (transmetuesi): I thashë: "A është Kethiri ai që i foli Uthmanit?" Tha: "Po."
