٥٢٥ - وَعَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ عَبْسٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ سُلَيْمَانَ عَلَى شَطِّ دِجْلَةَ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَخَا بَنِي عَبْسٍ، انْزِلْ فَاشْرَبْ، فَشَرِبْتُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: اشْرَبْ، فَشَرِبْتُ، فَقَالَ: مَا نَقَصَ شُرْبُكَ مِنْ دِجْلَةَ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: مَا نَقَصَ! قَالَ: فَإِنَّ الْعِلْمَ كَذَلِكَ يُؤْخَذُ مِنْهُ وَلَا يَنْقُصُ. فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ، وَهُوَ بِطُولِهِ فِي الزُّهْدِ فِي عَيْشِ السَّلَفِ.
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ، وَفِيهِ رَجُلٌ لَمْ يُسَمَّ.
#525 525 - And on the authority of a man from ‘Abs, who said: I was walking with Sulayman on the bank of the Tigris, and he said: "O brother of the tribe of ‘Abs, descend and drink." So I drank. Then he said: "Drink," so I drank. Then he said: "How much did your drinking diminish from the Tigris?" He said: I replied: "It did not diminish [it]!" He said: "Verily, knowledge is likewise; it is taken from, yet it does not diminish." He then mentioned the Hadith, and it is recorded in its entirety in al-Zuhd fi ‘Aysh al-Salaf.

525 - Dhe nga një burrë prej fisit Abs, i cili ka thënë: Isha duke ecur me Sulejmanin në bregun e lumit Tigër, e ai më tha: "O vëlla i fisit Abs, zbrit dhe pi." Kështu që piva.
