#808 808 - And from Jabir ibn Abd Allah: That Umar ibn al-Khattab came to the Prophet (pbuh) with a book he had obtained from some of the People of the Book, and he read it to the Prophet (pbuh). He became angry and said: "Are you wavering in it, O son of al-Khattab?! By Him in Whose Hand is my soul, I have brought it to you white and pure. Do not ask them about anything, for they might tell you a truth and you would disbelieve it, or a falsehood and you would believe it. By Him in Whose Hand is my soul, if Moses were alive among you, he would have no choice but to follow me."
