٩٣٤ - وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ - قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - يَقُولُ: «مَعَدُّ بْنُ عَدْنَانَ بْنِ [أُدِّ بْنِ] أُدَدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ بَراءِ بْنِ أَعْرَاقِ الثَّرَى ". قَالَتْ: ثُمَّ يَقُولُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ -: " أَهْلَكَ عَادًا وَثَمُودًا وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ كَثِيرًا لَا يَعْلَمُهُمْ إِلَّا اللَّهُ "، فَكَانَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ تَقُولُ: مَعَدٌّ مَعَدٌّ، وَعَدْنَانُ عَدْنَانُ، وَأُدَدٌ أُدَدٌ، وَزَيْدُ بْنُ هُمَيْسَعِ، وَبَرَاءٌ: تِبْتٌ، وَأَعْرَاقُ الثَّرَى، إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ».
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ، وَفِيهِ: عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، وَقَدْ ضَعَّفَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَجَمَاعَةٌ، وَذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَاتِ.
#934 934 - And on the authority of Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet (pbuh), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) saying: "Ma'add ibn Adnan ibn [Udd ibn] Udad ibn Zayd ibn Bara' ibn A'raq al-Thara." She said: Then the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) would say: "And [He destroyed] 'Ad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them, whom none knows except Allah." Thus, Umm Salama used to say: Ma'add is Ma'add, and Adnan is Adnan, and Udad is Udad, and Zayd is ibn Humaysa', and Bara' is Tibt, and A'raq al-Thara is Ishmael the son of Abraham.

934 - Dhe nga Umm Seleme, bashkëshortja e Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.), e cila ka thënë: E kam dëgjuar të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.) duke thënë: "Ma'add ibn Adnan ibn [Udd ibn] Udad ibn Zejd ibn Bera' ibn A'rak ath-Thera." Ajo tha: Pastaj i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) thoshte: "[Ai shkatërroi] Adin, Thamudin, banorët e Er-Ressit dhe shumë breza ndërmjet tyre, të cilët nuk i njeh askush përveç Allahut." Umm Seleme thoshte: "Ma'addi është Ma'addi, Adnani është Adnani, Udadi është Udadi, Zejdi është djali i Humejsait, Bera'i është Tibti, ndërsa A'rak ath-Thera është Ismaili, i biri i Ibrahimit."
Koment: E ka transmetuar Taberaniu në "el-Mu'xhem es-Sagir", dhe në zinxhirin e tij është Abdulaziz ibn Imran, prej pasardhësve të Abdurrahman ibn Aufit; Buhariu dhe një grup dijetarësh e kanë konsideruar atë të dobët, ndërsa Ibn Hibbani e ka përmendur atë në "eth-Thikat".
