١١٢٠ - وَعَنْ قُثَمِ بْنِ تَمَّامٍ - أَوْ تَمَّامِ بْنِ قُثَمٍ - عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: «أَتَيْنَا النَّبِيَّ - ﷺ - فَقَالَ: " مَا لَكُمْ تَأْتُونِي قُلْحًا؟ أَلَا تَسَوِّكُونَ؟ لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَفَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ السِّوَاكَ كَمَا فَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْوُضُوءَ».
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الصَّيْقَلُ، قِيلَ فِيهِ: أَنَّهُ مَجْهُولٌ.
#1120 1120 - And from Qutham ibn Tammam – or Tammam ibn Qutham – from his father, who said: "We came to the Prophet (pbuh) and he said: 'Why is it that you come to me with yellowed teeth? Why do you not use the Siwak? Were it not that I would impose a hardship upon my nation, I would have made the Siwak obligatory for them just as I made the ablution (Wudu) obligatory for them.'"

1120 - Dhe nga Kuthem bin Temmam – ose Temmam bin Kuthem – nga babai i tij, i cili ka thënë: "Erdhëm te Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) dhe ai tha: 'Përse vini tek unë me dhëmbë të zverdhur? Përse nuk e përdorni siuakun? Sikur të mos i rëndoja umetit tim, do t’ua bëja obligim (farz) siuakun ashtu siç ua kam bërë obligim abdestin'."
