١٥١١ - وَعَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ كَانَ يُقْرِئُ رَجُلًا، فَلَمَّا انْتَهَى إِلَى شَاطِئِ الْفُرَاتِ بَالَ وَكَفَّ عَنْهُ الرَّجُلُ، فَقَالَ: مَا لَكَ؟ قَالَ: أَحْدَثْتَ. قَالَ: اقْرَأْ، فَجَعَلَ يَقْرَأُ، وَجَعَلَ يَفْتَحُ عَلَيْهِ.
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ.
#1511 1511 - And on the authority of Ibrahim that Ibn Mas'ud was teaching a man to recite, and when he reached the bank of the Euphrates, he urinated, and the man refrained from reciting to him. He said: "What is the matter with you?" He replied: "You have invalidated your ritual purity." He said: "Recite," so he began to recite, and he began to prompt and correct him.

١٥١١ - Dhe nga Ibrahimi transmetohet se Ibn Mes'udi po i mësonte një njeriu të lexonte (Kuran). Kur arriti në bregun e Eufratit, ai urinoi dhe njeriu u ndal së lexuari para tij. Ai i tha: "Çfarë ke?" Ai u përgjigj: "Ti e prishe abdesin (ke bërë hadeth)." Ai i tha: "Lexo!" Atëherë ai filloi të lexonte, ndërsa ai (Ibn Mes'udi) filloi ta ndihmonte në lexim (duke e korrigjuar).
