٣٢٨٥ - وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - ﵄ - «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - ﷺ - اسْتَسْقَى فَقَالَ: " اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا مَرِيعًا طَبَقًا عَاجِلًا غَيْرَ رَائِثٍ نَافِعًا غَيْرَ ضَارٍّ "، فَمَا لَبِثْنَا أَنْ مُطِرْنَا حَتَّى سَالَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى أَتَوْهُ فَقَالُوا: قَدْ غَرِقْنَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ -: " اللَّهُمَّ حَوَالَيْنَا وَلَا عَلَيْنَا» ".
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى، وَفِيهِ كَلَامٌ كَثِيرٌ.
#3285 3285 - And from Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (pbuh) sought rain and said: "O Allah, grant us a rain that is a relief, wholesome, covering, immediate and not delayed, beneficial and not harmful." We did not wait long before it rained upon us until everything flowed, until they came to him and said: "We have surely drowned." So the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "O Allah, around us and not upon us."

3285 - Dhe nga Abdullah ibn Abbasi (r.a.) përcillet se Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) kërkoi shi dhe tha: "O Allah, na jep shi ndihmues, mbarësjellës, gjithëpërfshirës, të shpejtë e jo të vonuar, të dobishëm e jo të dëmshëm." Nuk kaloi shumë kohë derisa ra shi mbi ne, aq sa çdo gjë vërshoi, derisa njerëzit erdhën tek ai dhe thanë: "Vërtet u mbytëm." Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: "O Allah, rreth nesh e jo mbi ne."
