٣٨٥٣ - عَنْ أَبِي عَسِيبٍ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - ﷺ - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - ﷺ -: «أَتَانِي جِبْرَائِيلُ ﵇ بِالْحُمَّى وَالطَّاعُونِ فَأَمْسَكْتُ الْحُمَّى بِالْمَدِينَةِ وَأَرْسَلْتُ الطَّاعُونَ إِلَى الشَّامِ فَالطَّاعُونُ شَهَادَةٌ لِأُمَّتِي وَرَحْمَةٌ لَهُمْ رِجْسٌ عَلَى الْكَافِرِ».
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْطَبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ ثِقَاتٌ.
#3853 3853 - On the authority of Abu ‘Asib, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), who said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "Gabriel (peace be upon him) came to me with fever and the plague; so I retained the fever in Medina and sent the plague to the Levant. The plague is martyrdom for my nation and a mercy for them, but a punishment upon the disbeliever."

3853 - Transmetohet nga Ebu Asibi, i liruari i të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.), i cili ka thënë: Ka thënë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.): "Më erdhi Xhibrili (a.s.) me ethet dhe murtajën; i mbajta ethet në Medinë dhe e dërgova murtajën në Sham. Murtaja është dëshmorim për umetin tim dhe mëshirë për ta, ndërsa është ndëshkim për mohuesin."
