#4567 4567 - On the authority of Abu Umama that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "Shall I not tell you about al-Khidr (peace be upon him)?" They said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "While he was walking one day in a market of the Children of Israel, a mukatab (a slave with a contract for manumission) saw him and said: 'Give me charity, may Allah bless you.' Al-Khidr (peace be upon him) said: 'I believe in Allah; whatever Allah wills of a matter shall be. I have nothing with me to give you.' The poor man said: 'I ask you by the Face of Allah that you give me charity, for I perceived generosity in your face and hoped for blessing from you.' Al-Khidr said: 'I believe in Allah; I have nothing with me to give you except that you take me and sell me.' The poor man said: 'Is this right?' He said: 'Yes, [the truth] I say; you have asked me by a great matter. Verily, I shall not disappoint you regarding [your request made by] the Face of my Lord; sell me.' He said: So he brought him to the market and sold him for four hundred dirhams. He stayed with the buyer for a period of time, and the buyer did not employ him in any task. So he (al-Khidr) said to him: 'You only bought me seeking good from me, so command me to a task.' He said: 'I dislike to impose upon you; you are an elderly, weak man.' He said: 'It will not be difficult for me.' He said: 'Stand and move...'"

- Nga Ebu Umame transmetohet se i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë: «A t'ju tregoj për Hidrin (a.s.)?». Ata thanë: «Po, o i Dërguari i Allahut». I varfëri tha: A është e drejtë kjo?
