#4654 4654 - And from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet (pbuh) finished the morning prayer one day and went to the women in the mosque. He stood before them and said: "O assembly of women, I have not seen any who are deficient in intellect and religion more capable of taking away the hearts of the men of wisdom than you. And I have seen that you are the majority of the inhabitants of the Fire on the Day of Resurrection, so draw near to Allah with whatever you are able." Among the women was the wife of Abdullah bin Mas'ud; she went to Abdullah bin Mas'ud and informed him of what she had heard from the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and took some of her jewelry. Ibn Mas'ud said: "Where are you going with this jewelry?" She said: "I am seeking closeness to Allah and His Messenger with it, hoping that He will not make me among the inhabitants of the Fire." He said: "Woe to you! Come and give it as charity to me and to my children, for we are a deserving place for it." She said: "No, by Allah, not until I go to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)." So she went to seek permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), and they said to the Prophet (pbuh): "This is Zaynab seeking permission, O Messenger of Allah." He asked: "Which of the Zaynabs is she?" They said: "The wife of Abdullah bin Mas'ud." He said: "Grant her permission." So she entered upon the Prophet (pbuh) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I heard a statement from you, so I returned to Ibn Mas'ud and told him. I then took my jewelry to seek closeness to Allah and to you, hoping that Allah would not make me among the inhabitants of the Fire. Ibn Mas'ud then said to me: 'Give it as charity to me and to my children, for we are a deserving place for it,' so I said: 'Not until I seek permission from the Prophet (pbuh).'" The Prophet (pbuh) said: "Give it as charity to him and his sons, for they are a deserving place for it." Then she said: "O Messenger of Allah, what about what I heard from you when you stood before us: 'I have [ever] seen any deficient in intellect or religion more capable of taking away the hearts of the men of wisdom than you'? O Messenger of Allah, what is the deficiency in our religion and our intellects?" He said: "As for what I mentioned regarding the deficiency of your religion, it is the menstruation that afflicts you; one of you remains for as long as Allah wills her to remain without praying or fasting, so that is from the deficiency of your religion. And as for what I mentioned regarding the deficiency of your intellects, it is your testimony; for the testimony of a woman is only half the testimony of a man."

Ibn Mes'udi i tha: 'Ku po shkon me këto stoli?' Ajo tha: 'Jo, pasha Allahun, derisa të shkoj te i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.)'.

Ajo shkoi të kërkonte leje te i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.). I thanë Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.): 'Kjo është Zejnebja që kërkon leje, o i Dërguari i Allahut'. Ai tha: 'Cila prej Zejnebeve është?'
Thanë: 'Gruaja e Abdullah bin Mes'udit'.
