(General)
#1286
1286 - Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Al-Ash'ath bin Abi Ash-Sha'tha', from his paternal aunt, from her paternal uncle, who said: "I was walking while wearing a cloak of mine that I was dragging, so a man said: 'Raise your garment, for it is more pious and more lasting.' So I looked, and it was the Prophet (saw). I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, it is only a black and white striped cloak!' He said: 'Do you not have an example in me?' So I looked, and his lower garment was to the middle of his shins."
#1287
Murre, i cili ka thënë: E kam dëgjuar Amër b. Mejmunit duke treguar nga Abdullah b. Rebi'a, i cili ka thënë: E kam dëgjuar Ubejd b.
1287 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from 'Amr bin Murrah, who said: I heard 'Amr bin Maymun narrating from 'Abdullah bin Rabi'ah, who said: I heard 'Ubayd bin Khalid saying: "The Messenger of Allah (saw) established brotherhood between two men. One of them was killed [in battle] and the other remained, then he died later and they prayed over him. The Messenger of Allah (saw) asked: 'What did you say?' They replied: 'We prayed to Allah to forgive him, have mercy on him, and join him with his companion.' The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: 'Then where is his prayer after his [companion's] prayer? And where is his deed after his deed?'—and I think he said: 'And where is his fasting after his fasting? By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, the distance between them is further than what is between the heaven and the earth.'" 'Amr bin Maymun said: "This hadith pleased me because it was narrated to me with a chain of transmission."
