1304 - Na ka treguar Junusi, na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Kurre bin Halidi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Kurre bin Musa, nga Xhabir bin Sulejm el-Huxhejmi, i cili ka thënë: «Arrita te i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ndërsa ai ishte ulur i mbështetur (muhtebin) me një rrobë të tij (burde), sikur po i shoh thekët e saj mbi këmbët e tij. I thashë: O i Dërguari i Allahut, më këshillo! Ai tha: Frikësoju Allahut dhe mos nënçmo asgjë nga punët e mira, qoftë edhe derdhja e ujit nga kova jote në enën e atij që kërkon ujë, dhe ta takosh vëllanë tënd me fytyrë të buzëqeshur. Dhe ruhu nga lëshimi i rrobës (poshtë nyjeve të këmbëve), sepse lëshimi i rrobës është mendjemadhësi dhe Allahu nuk e do atë. Nëse dikush të shan dhe të turpëron për diçka që ai e di se e ke, ti mos e turpëro atë për diçka që ti e di se ai e ka; lëre atë, barra e saj do të jetë mbi të dhe shpërblimi do të jetë për ty, dhe mos shaj asgjë. Tha: Pas kësaj porosie të të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.), nuk kam sharë asnjë kafshë e asnjë njeri.»

- حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا
قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ
جَابِرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الْهُجَيْمِيِّ ، قَالَ: «انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ
اللهِ - ﷺ - وَهُوَ مُحْتَبٍ فِي بُرْدَةٍ لَهُ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى
هُدَّابِهَا عَلَى قَدَمَيْهِ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَوْصِنِي!
قَالَ: اتَّقِ اللهَ، وَلَا تَحْقِرَنَّ مِنَ الْمَعْرُوفِ شَيْئًا، وَلَوْ
أَنْ تُفْرِغَ مِنْ دَلْوِكَ فِي إِنَاءِ الْمُسْتَسْقِي، وَأَنْ تَلْقَى
أَخَاكَ وَوَجْهُكَ إِلَيْهِ مُنْبَسِطٌ، وَإِيَّاكَ وَإِسْبَالَ
الْإِزَارِ، فَإِنَّ إِسْبَالَ الْإِزَارِ مِنَ الْمَخِيلَةِ وَلَا
يُحِبُّهَا اللهُ، وَإِنِ امْرُؤٌ شَتَمَكَ وَعَيَّرَكَ بِأَمْرٍ هُوَ
فِيكَ فَلَا تُعَيِّرْهُ بِأَمْرٍ هُوَ فِيهِ، وَدَعْهُ يَكُونُ وَبَالُهُ
عَلَيْهِ وَأَجْرُهُ لَكَ، وَلَا تَسُبَّنَّ شَيْئًا. قَالَ: فَمَا
سَبَبْتُ بَعْدَ قَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللهِ - ﷺ - دَابَّةً وَلَا إِنْسَانًا».
1304 - Yunus narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Qurrah bin Khalid narrated to us, he said: Qurrah bin Musa narrated to us, from Jabir bin Sulaym al-Hujaymi, who said: "I came to the Messenger of Allah (saw) while he was sitting with his legs drawn up to his chest (muhtabin) in a cloak of his; it is as if I am looking at its fringes upon his feet. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, advise me!' He said: 'Fear Allah, and do not belittle any good deed, even if it is just pouring from your bucket into the vessel of one seeking water, and that you meet your brother with a cheerful face towards him. And beware of trailing the lower garment (izār), for trailing the lower garment is a form of pride and Allah does not love it. And if a man insults you and shames you for something he knows about you, do not shame him for something you know about him; leave him, for its evil consequence will be upon him and its reward will be for you, and do not insult anything.' He said: 'So I never insulted a beast or a human after the statement of the Messenger of Allah (saw).'"
