1693 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Sakhr bin Xhuvejrije, nga Nafiu, nga Ibn Umeri, i cili ka thënë: "Njerëzit shihnin ëndrra në kohën e Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.) dhe ia tregonin ato atij, e ai thoshte për to atë që dëshironte Allahu të thoshte. Një natë i thashë vetes: 'Sikur të kishte ndonjë mirësi tek ti, do të shihje ëndërr ashtu siç shohin njerëzit'. Pastaj thashë: 'O Allah, nëse Ti e di se tek unë ka mirësi, atëherë më mundëso të shoh (ëndërr)'.
Kur fjeta, pashë në ëndërr sikur më erdhën dy melekë, ku në dorën e secilit prej tyre ishte një rrahëse prej hekuri. Më morën dhe më dërguan derisa më ndalën mbi Xhehenem, ndërkohë që ata po më shtynin drejt tij. Xhehenemi ishte i palosur (si pus). Unë thashë: 'Kërkoj mbrojtje tek Allahu prej Xhehenemit'. Atëherë erdhi një melek tjetër dhe më tha: 'Mos u frikëso! Ti je njeri i mirë, sikur të falje më shumë namaz'.
Ibn Umeri tha: Kur u gdhi, shkova te Hafsa dhe ia tregova asaj ëndrrën, e pastaj Hafsa ia tregoi atë Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.). Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) tha: 'Vërtet, Abdullah bin Umeri është njeri i mirë'. Nafiu tha: Pas kësaj, Abdullahu falte shumë namaz."

- حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا صَخْرُ بْنُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ
، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ: «كَانَ النَّاسُ يَرَوْنَ
الرُّؤْيَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَيَقُصُّونَهَا عَلَيْهِ،
فَيَقُولُ فِيهَا مَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ، فَقُلْتُ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ
لِنَفْسِي: لَوْ كَانَ فِيكَ خَيْرٌ لَرَأَيْتَ رُؤْيَا كَمَا يَرَى
النَّاسُ، ثُمَّ قُلْتُ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ فِيَّ خَيْرًا
فَأَرِنِي، فَلَمَّا نِمْتُ رَأَيْتُ فِي مَنَامِي كَأَنَّ مَلَكَيْنِ
أَتَيَانِي، فِي يَدِ كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مِقْمَعَةٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ،
فَانْطَلَقَا بِي، حَتَّى وَقَفَا بِي عَلَى جَهَنَّمَ وَهُمَا
يَعْتِلَانِي، فَإِذَا جَهَنَّمُ مَطْوِيَّةٌ، فَقُلْتُ: أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ
مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ، حَتَّى جَاءَ مَلَكٌ، فَقَالَ: لَمْ تُرَعْ، نِعْمَ
الْمَرْءُ أَنْتَ لَوْ كُنْتَ تُكْثِرُ الصَّلَاةَ، قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ:
فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحْتُ، غَدَوْتُ عَلَى حَفْصَةَ فَقَصَصْتُهَا عَلَيْهَا،
فَقَصَّتْهَا حَفْصَةُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ قَالَ نَافِعٌ: فَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ
بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يُكْثِرُ الصَّلَاةَ».
1693 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Sakhr bin Juwayriyah narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, who said: "People used to see visions during the time of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) and would relate them to him, and he would say about them whatever Allah willed him to say. One night I said to myself: 'If there were any good in you, you would see a vision as the people see.' Then I said: 'O Allah, if You know any good in me, then show me.' When I slept, I saw in my dream as if two angels came to me, in the hand of each of them was an iron mace. They took me along until they stopped me at Hell while they were dragging me, and behold, Hell was built up like a well. I said: 'I seek refuge with Allah from Hell,' until an angel came and said: 'Do not be afraid; what an excellent man you are, if only you would pray more.' Ibn 'Umar said: 'When morning came, I went to Hafsah and related it to her, then Hafsah related it to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh), and the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: 'Indeed, Abdullah is a righteous man.' Nafi' said: 'After that, Abdullah used to pray much.'"
