- Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Kurreh bin Halid, na ka treguar Sejjar Ebu el-Hakem, nga esh-Sha'bi, i cili ka thënë:
«Hymë te Fatima bint Kajs, e ajo na qerasi me hurma të freskëta që quheshin Ibn Tab dhe na dha të pinim sevika sult (lloj pije prej drithi). E pyetëm atë për gruan e shkurorëzuar tri herë: Ku duhet ta kalojë idetin (kohën e pritjes)? Ajo tha: I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) më lejoi që ta kaloj idetin te familja ime - domethënë: të shpërngulem - dhe atë ditë u thirr njerëzia: 'Es-salatu xhamiah' (Namazi po fillon, mblidhuni), kështu që dola bashkë me gratë që dolën. Isha në rreshtin e parë të grave, që ishte menjëherë pas rreshtit të fundit të burrave. Dëgjova të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.) duke thënë: 'Disa kushërinj të Temim ed-Dariut lundruan në det dhe anija e tyre i hodhi në një nga bregdetet. Atje gjetën një krijesë (kafshë) të mbuluar me qime. Kur hymë tek ajo, ajo tha: Unë jam el-Xhessaseh. Pastaj tha: Në atë manastir është dikush që mezi pret t'ju shohë. Hymë brenda dhe gjetëm një njeri të lidhur me pranga hekuri për shkak të rrezikshmërisë. Ai pyeti: A ka dalë (shfaqur) shoku juaj? - kishte për qëllim Pejgamberin (s.a.v.s.). Ne i thamë: Po. Ai tha: Atëherë ndiqeni atë. Pastaj tha: Më tregoni për hurmat e Bejsanit, a japin fryte? Thamë: Po. Ai tha: Më tregoni për liqenin e Tiberiadës (Tabarijje), a ka shumë ujë? Thamë: Po. Ai tha: Më tregoni për burimin e Zugurit, a ka shumë ujë? Thamë: Po. Atëherë ai tha: Sikur të dilja, do t'i shkelja të gjitha vendet përveç Mekës dhe Tajbes (Medinës)'. Fatima tha: E pashë të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.) duke thënë me shkopin e tij: 'Vini re, kjo është Tajbe' - duke bërë me shenjë nga toka e Medinës - 'ndërsa Meka është Meka'».

- حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ،
حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ أَبُو الْحَكَمِ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، قَالَ:
«دَخَلْنَا عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ فَأَتْحَفَتْنَا بِرُطَبٍ
يُقَالُ لَهُ: ابْنُ طَابٍ، وَسَقَتْنَا سَوِيقَ سُلْتٍ، فَسَأَلْنَاهَا
عَنِ الْمُطَلَّقَةِ ثَلَاثًا: أَيْنَ تَعْتَدُّ؟ فَقَالَتْ: أَذِنَ لِي
رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ أَعْتَدَّ فِي أَهْلِي - أَيْ: أَتَحَوَّلَ -
وَيَوْمَئِذٍ نُودِيَ فِي النَّاسِ: الصَّلَاةَ جَامِعَةً، فَخَرَجْتُ
فِيمَنْ خَرَجَ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ، وَكُنْتُ فِي الصَّفِّ الْمُقَدَّمِ،
مِمَّا يَلِي الصَّفَّ الْمُؤَخَّرَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ، فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ
اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: إِنَّ بَنِي عَمٍّ لِتَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ رَكِبُوا
الْبَحْرَ، وَإِنَّ سَفِينَتَهُمْ قَذَفَتْهُمْ إِلَى سَاحِلٍ مِنْ
سَوَاحِلِ الْبَحْرِ، وَهُنَاكَ دَابَّةٌ يُوَارِيهَا شَعَرُهَا، فَلَمَّا
دَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا، قَالَتْ: أَنَا الْجَسَّاسَةُ، ثُمَّ قَالَتْ: إِنَّ
فِي ذَلِكَ الدَّيْرِ مَنْ هُوَ إِلَى رُؤْيَتِكُمْ بِالْأَشْوَاقِ،
فَدَخَلْنَا، فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ مُكَبَّلٌ فِي الْحَدِيدِ بِضَرُورَةٍ،
فَقَالَ: أَخَرَجَ صَاحِبُكُمْ؟ يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْنَا: نَعَمْ،
قَالَ: فَاتَّبِعُوهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَخْبِرُونِي عَنْ نَخْلِ بَيْسَانَ،
أَيُطْعِمُ؟ قُلْنَا: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: أَخْبِرُونِي عَنْ بُحَيْرَةِ
الطَّبَرِيَّةِ، أَكَثِيرَةُ الْمَاءِ هِيَ؟ قُلْنَا: نَعَمْ، قَالَ:
فَأَخْبِرُونِي عَنْ عَيْنِ زُغَرَ، أَكَثِيرَةُ الْمَاءِ؟ قُلْنَا:
نَعَمْ، فَقَالَ: أَمَا إِنِّي لَوْ قَدْ خَرَجْتُ لَوَطِئْتُ الْبِلَادَ
كُلَّهَا غَيْرَ مَكَّةَ وَطَيْبَةَ قَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ: فَأَنَا رَأَيْتُ
رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ بِمِخْصَرَتِهِ: أَلَا وَهَذِهِ طَيْبَةُ -
يُومِئُ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْمَدِينَةِ - وَمَكَّةُ مَكَّةُ».
1751 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Qurrah ibn Khalid narrated to us, Sayyar Abu al-Hakam narrated to us, from al-Sha'bi, who said:
"We entered upon Fatimah bint Qays, and she offered us fresh dates called Ibn Tab, and gave us a drink of barley gruel (sawiq sult). We asked her about a woman divorced three times: where should she observe her waiting period ('iddah)? She said: The Messenger of Allah (saw) permitted me to observe my waiting period with my family—meaning, to move there. On that day, a call was made to the people: 'The prayer is gathering (as-salatu jami'ah).' So I went out among the women who went out, and I was in the front row of the women, which was adjacent to the back row of the men. I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) saying: 'Indeed, cousins of Tamim al-Dari took to the sea, and their ship cast them onto one of the shores of the sea. There was a beast whose hair covered it. When we entered upon it, it said: I am al-Jassasah. Then it said: In that monastery is someone who is longing to see you. So we entered, and there was a man shackled in iron out of necessity. He said: Has your companion emerged? Meaning the Prophet (saw). We said: Yes. He said: Then follow him. Then he said: Tell me about the date palms of Baysan, do they bear fruit? We said: Yes. He said: Tell me about the Lake of Tiberias, is its water plentiful? We said: Yes. He said: Tell me about the Spring of Zughar, is its water plentiful? We said: Yes. He said: Verily, if I were to emerge, I would tread upon all lands except Makkah and Taybah.' Fatimah said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (saw) pointing with his staff: 'Behold, this is Taybah'—pointing towards the land of Madinah—'and Makkah is Makkah.'"
