1770 - Na ka treguar Junusi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Avane, nga Husajni, nga Ebu Vaili, nga Mesruku, i cili ka thënë: Më ka treguar Umm Ruman, nëna e Aishes, e cila ka thënë:
«Ndërsa isha e ulur, hyri tek unë një grua dhe tha: 'Allahu i bërtë filanit kështu e kështu!' Unë i thashë: 'Çfarë ka ai?' Ajo tha: 'Ai e përhapi lajmin' - domethënë përmendi Aishen. Aishja tha: 'A ka dëgjuar për këtë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.)?' Ajo tha: 'Po.' Aishja tha: 'Po Ebu Bekri, a ka dëgjuar për këtë?' Ajo tha: 'Po.' Atëherë atë e kapi diçka (një gjendje e rëndë) dhe nuk u ngrit dot përveçse me ethe. Unë i hodha rrobat e saj përsipër. Hyri i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) dhe tha: 'Çfarë ka kjo?' Unë i thashë: 'E kanë kapur ethe me dridhje.' Ajo tha: Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: 'Ndoshta kjo është për shkak të lajmit që i është treguar.' Aishja u ul dhe tha: 'Pasha Allahun, nëse betohem, ju nuk do të më besoni, dhe nëse flas, ju nuk do të më pranoni. Shembulli im dhe shembulli juaj nuk është asgjë tjetër veçse si shembulli i Jakubit dhe bijve të tij: ﴿Allahu është Ai prej të Cilit kërkohet ndihmë kundër asaj që ju përshkruani﴾.' Tha: Atëherë Allahu i Madhëruar zbriti pafajësinë e saj. Aishja tha: 'Me falënderimin e Allahut, e jo me falënderimin tënd e as të dikujt tjetër'».

- حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ:
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ
مَسْرُوقٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ رُومَانَ أُمُّ عَائِشَةَ ،
قَالَتْ: «بَيْنَا أَنَا قَاعِدَةٌ إِذْ دَخَلَتْ عَلَيَّ امْرَأَةٌ
فَقَالَتْ: فَعَلَ اللهُ بِفُلَانٍ كَذَا وَكَذَا، فَقُلْتُ: وَمَا لَهُ؟
قَالَتْ: إِنَّهُ أَفْشَى الْحَدِيثَ - يَعْنِي ذَكَرَ عَائِشَةَ -
فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: سَمِعَ بِهَذَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟، قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ،
قَالَتْ: فَسَمِعَ بِهَذَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ؟ قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ، فَأَخَذَهَا
شَيْءٌ، مَا قَامَتْ إِلَّا بِحُمَّى، فَأَلْقَيْتُ عَلَيْهَا ثِيَابَهَا،
فَدَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: مَا شَأْنُ هَذِهِ؟ فَقُلْتُ:
أَخَذَتْهَا حُمَّى بِنَافِضٍ، قَالَتْ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
فَلَعَلَّهُ مِنْ أَجْلِ حَدِيثٍ حُدِّثَتْ بِهِ فَقَعَدَتْ عَائِشَةُ،
فَقَالَتْ: وَاللهِ لَئِنْ حَلَفْتُ لَا تُصَدِّقُونِي، وَلَئِنْ قُلْتُ
لَا تَقْبَلُوا مِنِّي، وَمَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُكُمْ إِلَّا كَمَثَلِ
يَعْقُوبَ وَبَنِيهِ، ﴿وَاللهُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلَى مَا تَصِفُونَ﴾،
قَالَ: فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷿ عُذْرَهَا، فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: بِحَمْدِ اللهِ
لَا بِحَمْدِكَ وَلَا بِحَمْدِ أَحَدٍ».
1770 - Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Husayn, from Abu Wa'il, from Masruq, who said: Umm Ruman, the mother of 'Aishah, narrated to me, she said:
"While I was sitting, a woman entered upon me and said: 'May Allah do such and such to so-and-so.' I asked: 'What is the matter with him?' She replied: 'He spread the talk' - meaning he mentioned 'Aishah. 'Aishah then asked: 'Did the Messenger of Allah (saw) hear about this?' She replied: 'Yes.' She asked: 'Did Abu Bakr hear about this?' She replied: 'Yes.' Then something overcame her, and she did not stand up except with a fever. I threw her clothes over her. Then the Messenger of Allah (saw) entered and asked: 'What is the matter with her?' I said: 'She has been seized by a fever with shivering.' She said: The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: 'Perhaps it is because of a talk that was told to her.' 'Aishah then sat up and said: 'By Allah, if I were to swear, you would not believe me, and if I were to speak, you would not accept it from me. My example and your example is only like that of Ya'qub and his sons: {And Allah is the one sought for help against that which you describe}.' She said: Then Allah (azwj) revealed her exoneration. 'Aishah then said: 'By the praise of Allah, not by your praise nor the praise of anyone else.'"
