1042 - Na ka treguar Junusi, na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, na ka treguar Zem'ah bin Salih, nga ez-Zuhriu, nga Sehl bin Sa'd es-Sa'idij se një burrë shikoi fshehurazi në dhomën e Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.), ndërkohë që Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) kishte një mjet krehjeje me të cilin po kruante kokën e tij. Atëherë ai tha: «Sikur ta dija se po shikoje, do të isha ngritur dhe do të të kisha shpuar sytë me të. Kërkimi i lejes është bërë pikërisht për shkak të shikimit».
١٠٤٢ - حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَمْعَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ «أَنَّ رَجُلًا اطَّلَعَ فِي حُجْرَةِ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ - وَمَعَ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ - مِدْرًى يَحُكُّ بِهِ رَأْسَهُ، فَقَالَ: لَوْ أَنِّي أَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ تَنْظُرُ لَقُمْتُ حَتَّى أَطْعَنَ بِهِ فِي عَيْنَيْكَ، إِنَّمَا جُعِلَ الْإِذْنُ مِنْ أَجْلِ الْبَصَرِ».
1042 - Yunus narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Zam'ah bin Salih narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Sahl bin Sa'd al-Sa'idi:

That a man peeked into a room of the Prophet (pbuh), and the Prophet (pbuh) had a midra (a long-toothed comb) with which he was scratching his head. He said: 'If I had known that you were looking, I would have stood up and poked your eyes with it. Seeking permission has only been enjoined because of sight.'

1043 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, na ka treguar Harixhe bin Mus'ab, nga Ebu Hazim el-Medeni, nga Sehl bin Sa'di, i cili ka thënë: «Ne gëzoheshim me ditën e xhuma, dhe kjo sepse ne shkonim te një e moshuar, e cila na përgatiste panxhar dhe elb, e ne e hanim atë e pastaj ktheheshim, në kohën e të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.).»
١٠٤٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَارِجَةُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ الْمَدَنِيِّ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ: «كُنَّا نَفْرَحُ بِيَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ، وَذَاكَ أَنَّا كُنَّا نَأْتِي عَجُوزًا فَتَصْنَعُ لَنَا سِلْقًا وَشَعِيرًا فَنَأْكُلُهُ ثُمَّ نَرْجِعُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ».
1043 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, Kharijah bin Mus'ab narrated to us, from Abu Hazim al-Madani, from Sahl bin Sa'd, who said: "We used to rejoice on the day of Friday, and that was because we used to go to an old woman who would prepare for us chard and barley, and we would eat it, then we would return, during the time of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)."

1044 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, na ka treguar Adij b. el-Fadl, nga Ebu Hazimi, nga Sehl b. Sa'di, i cili ka thënë: «Shumica e atyre që faleshin pas të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ishin 'njerëzit e nyjave'».

Tha: I thashë: E cilët janë njerëzit e nyjave?

Tha: «Asnjëri prej tyre nuk kishte më shumë se një rrobë të vetme, kështu që e lidhnin atë nyjë rreth qafës së tyre».
١٠٤٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَدِيُّ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ: «كَانَ عَامَّةُ مَنْ يُصَلِّي خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ - ﷺ - أَصْحَابَ الْعُقَدِ». قَالَ: قُلْتُ: وَمَا أَصْحَابُ الْعُقَدِ؟ قَالَ: لَمْ يَكُنْ لِأَحَدِهِمْ إِلَّا ثَوْبٌ وَاحِدٌ، حَتَّى كَانَ يَعْقِدُهُ عَلَى عُنُقِهِ.

Abu Dawud narrated to us, 'Adi ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, from Abu Hazim, from Sahl ibn Sa'd, who said: "Most of those who prayed behind the Messenger of Allah (saw) were the 'people of the knots'."

He said: I asked: "And what are the 'people of the knots'?"

He said: "None of them had more than a single garment, such that he would tie it around his neck."

1045 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, na ka treguar Zem'ah bin Salih, nga Ebu Hazimi, nga Sehl bin Sa'di, i cili ka thënë: «Pejgamberi i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ndërroi jetë ndërsa kishte një xhybe prej leshi që ishte ende në proces thurjeje.»
١٠٤٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَمْعَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ: «تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - ﷺ - وَلَهُ جُبَّةُ صُوفٍ فِي الْحِيَاكَةِ».
1045 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, Zam'ah bin Salih narrated to us, from Abu Hazim, from Sahl bin Sa'd, who said: 'The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) passed away while he had a woolen cloak [still] being woven.'
