972 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Abbad bin Rashid dhe el-Mubarek bin Fedale, nga el-Haseni, ku Abbadi ka thënë: E kam dëgjuar el-Hasenin duke thënë: Më ka treguar Ma'kil bin Jesar el-Mezeni, i cili ka thënë: «Kisha një motër që kërkohej për martesë prej meje, por unë ua refuzoja njerëzve, derisa më erdhi një djalë i axhës sime dhe e kërkoi atë. Unë ia martova atij dhe ata qëndruan bashkë aq sa deshi Allahu të qëndronin. Pastaj ai e divorcoi atë me një divorc ku kishte të drejtë rikthimi (rexh'ah), por e la derisa i kaloi ideti (periudha e pritjes). Pastaj erdhi tek unë për ta kërkuar përsëri bashkë me kërkuesit e tjerë. Unë i thashë: O i poshtër! Motra ime kërkohej prej meje dhe unë ua refuzoja njerëzve, ndërsa kur ti e kërkove, unë të dhashë përparësi dhe të martova me të, por ti e divorcove. Pastaj nuk e kërkove derisa i kaloi ideti, e kur më erdhën kërkuesit e tjerë për ta kërkuar, erdhe edhe ti ta kërkosh! Jo, pasha Allahun, përveç të Cilit nuk ka zot tjetër, nuk do ta martoj kurrë me ty!»
Ma'kili tha: Për mua zbriti ky ajet: ﴿Kur t'i divorconi gratë dhe ato t'i japin fund afatit të tyre (idetit), mos i pengoni ato që të martohen me burrat e tyre, nëse merren vesh mes vete sipas rregullave.﴾ (el-Bekare: 232). Ai tha: Allahu i Madhëruar e dinte nevojën e saj për të dhe nevojën e tij për atë, andaj zbriti ky ajet. Atëherë unë thashë: Dëgjova dhe u binda! Kështu, e martova me të dhe bëra kefaret (shlyerje) për betimin tim.»

- حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ
وَالْمُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ عَبَّادٌ:
سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنِي مَعْقِلُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ
الْمُزَنِيُّ قَالَ: «كَانَتْ لِي أُخْتٌ تُخْطَبُ إِلَيَّ وَأَمْنَعُهَا
النَّاسَ، حَتَّى أَتَانِي ابْنُ عَمٍّ لِي فَخَطَبَهَا إِلَيَّ
فَزَوَّجْتُهَا إِلَيْهِ، فَاصْطَحَبَا مَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يَصْطَحِبَا
ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا طَلَاقًا لَهُ عَلَيْهَا رَجْعَةٌ، ثُمَّ تَرَكَهَا
حَتَّى انْقَضَتْ عِدَّتُهَا، ثُمَّ جَاءَنِي يَخْطُبُهَا مَعَ
الْخُطَّابِ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا لُكَعُ، خُطِبَتْ إِلَيَّ أُخْتِي
فَمَنَعْتُهَا النَّاسَ، وَخَطَبْتَهَا إِلَيَّ فَآثَرْتُكَ بِهَا
وَأَنْكَحْتُكَ فَطَلَّقْتَهَا، ثُمَّ لَمْ تَخْطُبْهَا حَتَّى انْقَضَتْ
عِدَّتُهَا، فَلَمَّا جَاءَنِي الْخُطَّابُ يَخْطُبُونَهَا جِئْتَ
تَخْطُبُهَا! لَا وَاللهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ لَا
أُنْكِحُكَهَا أَبَدًا، قَالَ: فَقَالَ مَعْقِلٌ: فَفِيَّ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ
الْآيَةُ: ﴿وَإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ فَبَلَغْنَ أَجَلَهُنَّ فَلا
تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ أَنْ يَنْكِحْنَ أَزْوَاجَهُنَّ إِذَا تَرَاضَوْا
بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ﴾، قَالَ: وَعَلِمَ اللهُ ﷿ حَاجَتَهَا إِلَيْهِ
وَحَاجَتَهُ إِلَيْهَا فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ، فَقُلْتُ: سَمْعٌ
وَطَاعَةٌ! فَزَوَّجْتُهَا إِيَّاهُ وَكَفَّرْتُ عَنْ يَمِينِي».
972 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: 'Abbad ibn Rashid and al-Mubarak ibn Fadalah narrated to us, from al-Hasan. 'Abbad said: I heard al-Hasan saying: Ma'qil ibn Yasar al-Muzani narrated to me, he said:
'I had a sister who was being sought in marriage, and I used to refuse people, until a cousin of mine came to me and proposed to her. So I married her to him, and they stayed together as long as Allah willed they should stay together. Then he divorced her with a divorce in which he had the right of return, but he left her until her waiting period ('iddah) expired. Then he came to me seeking to propose to her along with other suitors. I said: "O you base one! My sister was sought from me and I refused people, then you proposed to her and I favored you with her and married her to you, but you divorced her. Then you did not propose to her until her waiting period expired, and when other suitors came to me to propose to her, you came to propose to her! No, by Allah, besides Whom there is no other god, I will never marry her to you ever."'
He said: Ma'qil said: 'So this verse was revealed concerning me: {And when you divorce women and they have fulfilled their term, do not prevent them from remarrying their husbands if they agree among themselves on a lawful basis} [Al-Baqarah: 232].' He said: 'And Allah (Mighty and Majestic) knew her need for him and his need for her, so this verse was revealed. So I said: "I hear and obey!" Then I married her to him and offered expiation for my oath.'
