- Na ka treguar Junusi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Shube, i cili ka thënë: Më ka njoftuar Amër bën Murre, i cili e ka dëgjuar Abdullah bën Selimen duke treguar nga Safuan bën Assal el-Muradiu: «Se dy burra nga ithtarët e Librit, njëri prej tyre i tha shokut të vet: Shkojmë te ky Pejgamber. Ai i tha: Mos e dëgjoftë këtë (fjalën Pejgamber), sepse do të bëhet me katër sy (do të gëzohet shumë). Ata erdhën te ai dhe e pyetën për nëntë shenja të qarta. Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) tha: Mos i shoqëroni Allahut asgjë, mos vritni, mos vidhni, mos bëni zina, mos bëni magji, mos hani kamatë, mos shpifni për gruan e ndershme, mos ikni nga beteja, dhe mos e dërgoni të pafajshmin te sundimtari që ta vrasë ose ta shkatërrojë atë. Dhe për ju veçanërisht, o jehudë, është që të mos e shkelni të shtunën. Atëherë ata ia puthën duart dhe këmbët e tij dhe thanë: Dëshmojmë se ti je Pejgamber. Ai tha: E çfarë ju pengon që të më ndiqni mua? Ata thanë: Davudi u lut që në pasardhësit e tij të mos pushojë së pasuri pejgamberë, dhe ne frikësohemi se nëse të ndjekim ty, do të na vrasin jehudët! Ebu Davudi ka thënë një herë: Mos shpifni për gruan e ndershme ose mos ikni nga beteja», Ebu Davudi tha: Ka dyshuar Shube.

- حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ:
حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ ، سَمِعَ
عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ سَلِمَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَسَّالٍ
الْمُرَادِيِّ «أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا
لِصَاحِبِهِ: اذْهَبْ بِنَا إِلَى هَذَا النَّبِيِّ، فَقَالَ: لَا
يَسْمَعَنَّ هَذَا فَيَصِيرَ لَهُ أَرْبَعَةُ أَعْيُنٍ، فَأَتَيَاهُ
فَسَأَلَاهُ عَنْ تِسْعِ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: لَا
تُشْرِكُوا بِاللهِ شَيْئًا، وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا، وَلَا تَسْرِقُوا، وَلَا
تَزْنُوا، وَلَا تَسْحَرُوا، وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا الرِّبَا، وَلَا تَقْذِفُوا
الْمُحْصَنَةَ، وَلَا تَفِرُّوا مِنَ الزَّحْفِ، وَلَا تَمْشُوا بِبَرِيءٍ
إِلَى ذِي سُلْطَانٍ لِتَقْتُلُوهُ أَوْ لِتُهْلِكُوهُ، وَعَلَيْكُمْ
خَاصَّةً يَهُودُ أَنْ لَا تَعْدُوا فِي السَّبْتِ، فَقَبَّلَا يَدَيْهِ
وَرِجْلَيْهِ وَقَالَا: نَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ نَبِيٌّ، قَالَ: فَمَا
يَمْنَعُكُمَا مِنَ اتِّبَاعِي؟، فَقَالَا: إِنَّ دَاوُدَ دَعَا أَنْ لَا
يَزَالَ فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِ نَبِيٌّ، وَإِنَّا نَخْشَى إِنْ تَبِعْنَاكَ أَنْ
يَقْتُلَنَا الْيَهُودُ! وَقَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ مَرَّةً: وَلَا تَقْذِفُوا
الْمُحْصَنَةَ أَوْ لَا تَفِرُّوا مِنَ الزَّحْفِ»، قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ :
شَكَّ شُعْبَةُ.
1260 - Yunus narrated to us, he said: Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: 'Amr ibn Murrah informed me, he heard 'Abdullah ibn Salimah narrating from Safwan ibn 'Assal al-Muradi 'that two men from the People of the Book, one of them said to his companion: "Take us to this Prophet." The other said: "Do not let him hear this, for he will then have four eyes (become very proud)." So they came to him and asked him about nine clear signs. The Prophet (saw) said: "Do not associate anything with Allah, do not kill, do not steal, do not commit adultery, do not practice magic, do not consume usury, do not slander a chaste woman, do not flee from the battlefield, and do not take an innocent person to a ruler so that he may kill him or destroy him. And specifically for you, O Jews, do not transgress on the Sabbath."
So they kissed his hands and his feet and said: "We bear witness that you are a Prophet." He said: "Then what prevents you from following me?" They said: "Indeed, David (Dawud) prayed that there would always be a prophet among his descendants, and we fear that if we follow you, the Jews will kill us!"
And Abu Dawud said once: "Do not slander a chaste woman OR do not flee from the battlefield." Abu Dawud said: Shu'bah was in doubt.'
