725 - Na ka treguar Junusi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Shube, nga Habib bin Ebi Thabiti, i cili ka thënë: Kam dëgjuar Mejmun bin Ebi Shebibin duke treguar nga Mugire bin Shube se Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë: 'Kush transmeton nga unë një hadith, duke e ditur se ai është gënjeshtër, ai është njëri prej gënjeshtarëve.'
٧٢٥ - حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مَيْمُونَ بْنَ أَبِي شَبِيبٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - ﷺ - قَالَ: «مَنْ رَوَى عَنِّي حَدِيثًا وَهُوَ يَرَى أَنَّهُ كَذِبٌ فَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْكَذَّابِينَ».
725 - Narrated to us Yunus, who said: Narrated to us Abu Dawud, who said: Narrated to us Shu'bah, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, who said: I heard Maymun ibn Abi Shabib narrating from al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Whoever narrates a hadith from me while he sees that it is a lie, then he is one of the liars."

726 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Thabit Ebu Zejd - ose dikush tjetër - nga Asim el-Ahvel, nga Bekri, nga el-Mugire bin Shube, i cili ka thënë: «Janë dy çështje për të cilat nuk pyes askënd prej njerëzve: falja e burrit pas një burri nga vartësit e tij, sepse e kam parë të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.) duke u falur pas Abdurrahman bin Aufit, dhe mes-hi mbi meste, sepse e kam parë të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.) duke u dhënë mes-h atyre».
٧٢٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ أَبُو زَيْدٍ - أَوْ غَيْرُهُ - عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ بَكْرٍ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ: «أَمْرَانِ لَا أَسْأَلُ عَنْهُمَا أَحَدًا مِنَ النَّاسِ: صَلَاةُ الرَّجُلِ خَلْفَ الرَّجُلِ مِنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ، فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ - صَلَّى خَلْفَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، وَالْمَسْحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ، فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ - يَمْسَحُ عَلَيْهِمَا».
726 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Thabit Abu Zayd - or someone else - narrated to us, from 'Asim al-Ahwal, from Bakr, from al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, who said: "Two matters I do not ask anyone among the people about: a man praying behind a man from his subjects, for I saw the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) pray behind 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf; and wiping over the leather socks, for I saw the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) wiping over them."

727 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ibn Ebi ez-Zinadi, nga babai i tij, nga Urve b. el-Mugire, nga el-Mugire b. Shube, se Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) i dha mes-h pjesës së sipërme të mesteve të tij.
٧٢٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - ﷺ - مَسَحَ ظَاهِرَ خُفَّيْهِ».
727 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi al-Zinad narrated to us, from his father, from 'Urwah bin al-Mughirah, from al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah: "That the Prophet (pbuh) wiped over the top of his leather socks."

728 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Sheriku, Ebu Avanah, Kajsi dhe Shejbani, nga Zijad bin Ilakah, nga Mugire bin Shube, se i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) falte namaz derisa i ënjteshin këmbët. Ai tha: Iu tha atij: O i Dërguari i Allahut, a po e bën këtë ndërkohë që të janë falur mëkatet e kaluara dhe ato të ardhshmet? I Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) tha: "A nuk duhet të jem një rob falënderues?"
٧٢٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ وَأَبُو عَوَانَةَ وَقَيْسٌ وَشَيْبَانُ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ - «كَانَ يُصَلِّي حَتَّى تَرِمَ قَدَمَاهُ، قَالَ: فَقِيلَ لَهُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَتَصْنَعُ هَذَا وَقَدْ غُفِرَ لَكَ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَفَلَا أَكُونُ عَبْدًا شَكُورًا».

- Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Sharik, Abu 'Awanah, Qays, and Shayban narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn 'Ilaqah, from al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) used to pray until his feet became swollen. He said: It was said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, do you do this when your past and future sins have been forgiven?" The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "Should I not then be a grateful servant?"

729 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Shejban bin Abdurrahmani, nga Zijad bin Ilaka, nga Mugire bin Shube, i cili ka thënë: "Kur vdiq Ibrahimi, biri i të Dërguarit të Allahut (s.a.v.s.), u zunë dielli, ndërsa njerëzit thanë: 'Dielli u zu për shkak të vdekjes së Ibrahimit'. Atëherë doli i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) e tha: 'O ju njerëz, vërtet dielli dhe hëna nuk zihen për vdekjen e askujt e as për lindjen e tij, por ato janë dy shenja prej shenjave të Allahut të Madhëruar. Prandaj, kur të ndodhë kjo, faluni derisa të kalojë (të hapet)'".
٧٢٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ: «لَمَّا مَاتَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ابْنُ رَسُولِ اللهِ - ﷺ - انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ، فَقَالَ النَّاسُ: انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ لِمَوْتِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ - ﷺ - فَقَالَ: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَا يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ، وَلَكِنَّهُمَا آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللهِ ﷿، فَإِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فَصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَنْجَلِيَ».
729 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shayban bin Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Ziyad bin Ilaqah, from al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah, who said: "When Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah (saw), died, the sun eclipsed. The people said: 'The sun has eclipsed due to the death of Ibrahim.' So the Messenger of Allah (saw) came out and said: 'O people, indeed the sun and the moon do not eclipse for the death of anyone nor for his life, but they are two signs among the signs of Allah the Mighty and Majestic. So when that happens, pray until it clears.'"

- Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, ka thënë: Na ka treguar El-Mes'udi, nga Zijad bin Ilaka, i cili ka thënë: «Na ka prirë në namaz Mugire bin Shu'be, dhe u ngrit pas dy rekateve të para. Njerëzit i bënë tesbih, por ai vazhdoi namazin e tij. Kur përfundoi, i bëri dy sexhde, pastaj dha selam dhe tha: 'Kështu ka vepruar i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.)'.»
٧٣٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ ، قَالَ: «صَلَّى بِنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ فَقَامَ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الْأُولَيَيْنِ فَسَبَّحُوا بِهِ فَمَضَى فِي صَلَاتِهِ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ، وَقَالَ: هَكَذَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ».
730 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Al-Mas'udi narrated to us, from Ziyad ibn 'Ilaqah, who said: "Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah led us in prayer and he stood up after the first two rak'ahs. They said 'Subhan Allah' to him, but he continued with his prayer. When he finished, he performed two prostrations and then gave the taslim, and said: 'This is what the Messenger of Allah (saw) did.'"

731 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Shube, i cili ka thënë: Më ka lajmëruar Mensuri, i cili ka thënë: Kam dëgjuar Ibrahimin duke treguar nga Ubejd bin Nadle, nga Mugire bin Shube: «Se një burrë nga fisit Hudhejl kishte dy gra, dhe njëra prej tyre e goditi tjetrën me një shtyllë tende, duke i shkaktuar dështimin e foshnjës. Ai (burri ose i afërmi) tha: Si mund të gjykohet për atë që nuk (161) hëngri, as nuk piu, as nuk bërtiti, as nuk lëshoi zë (kur lindi)? Atëherë u tha: A po përdor fjalë me rimë si rima e xhahilijetit? Ai tha: Atëherë i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) gjykoi për këtë me një 'gurre' (një skllav ose skllave) dhe e ngarkoi atë mbi akilen (të afërmit nga dega e babait) e gruas.»

(161) Në botimin e Dar el-Ma'rife ka një shtesë (piu as).
٧٣١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْصُورٌ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ نَضْلَةَ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ «أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ هُذَيْلٍ كَانَتْ لَهُ امْرَأَتَانِ، فَرَمَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا الْأُخْرَى بِعَمُودِ فُسْطَاطٍ فَأَسْقَطَتْ، فَقَالَ: أَرَأَيْتَ مَنْ لَا (161)» أَكَلَ وَلَا شَرِبَ وَلَا صَاحَ وَلَا اسْتَهَلَّ؟ فَقِيلَ: أَسَجْعًا كَسَجْعِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ؟، قَالَ: فَقَضَى فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ - ﷺ - بِغُرَّةٍ وَجَعَلَهُ عَلَى عَاقِلَةِ الْمَرْأَةِ.

731 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: Mansur informed me, he said: I heard Ibrahim narrating from 'Ubayd ibn Nadlah, from Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah: "That a man from Hudhayl had two wives, and one of them threw a tent pole at the other, causing her to miscarry. He (the man) said: 'How can I pay for one who did not (161) eat, nor drink, nor cry out, nor make a sound?' It was said: 'Rhymed prose like the rhymed prose of the Pre-Islamic Period (Jahiliyyah)?' He said: So the Messenger of Allah (saw) ruled regarding it with a Ghurrah (a slave) and placed it upon the paternal relatives ('Aqilah) of the woman."

732 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, ka thënë: Na ka treguar Shu'be, nga Mensuri, nga Muxhahidi, nga Akkar b. el-Mugire b. Shu'be, nga babai i tij, se i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë: «Nuk është mbështetur (te Allahu) ai që kërkon rukje ose kuterizim».
٧٣٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ عَقَّارِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ - قَالَ: «لَمْ يَتَوَكَّلْ مَنِ اسْتَرْقَى أَوِ اكْتَوَى».
732 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Mansur, from Mujahid, from 'Aqqar ibn al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, from his father that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "He has not relied [on Allah] who seeks Ruqyah or uses cauterization."

733 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar El-Mes'udiu, i cili ka thënë: Më ka njoftuar Ebu Avn eth-Thekafi Muhamed bin Ubejdullah, nga El-Mugire bin Shu'be:

Se Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) pa një burrë me mustaqe të gjata, kërkoi një misvak dhe një thikë, e vendosi misvakun nën mustaqe dhe i preu ato mbi të.
٧٣٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَوْنٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - ﷺ - رَأَى رَجُلًا طَوِيلَ الشَّارِبِ فَدَعَا بِسِوَاكٍ وَشَفْرَةٍ، فَوَضَعَ السِّوَاكَ تَحْتَ الشَّارِبِ فَقَصَّ عَلَيْهِ».
733 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Al-Mas'udi narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Awn al-Thaqafi Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd Allah informed me, from al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah that the Prophet (pbuh) saw a man with a long mustache, so he called for a tooth-stick and a blade, then he placed the tooth-stick under the mustache and trimmed it over it.

734 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Seid bin Abdurrahman, nga Muhamed bin Sirini, nga Amr bin Vehb eth-Thekafi, nga El-Mugire bin Shu'be, i cili ka thënë: «E kam parë të Dërguarin e Allahut (s.a.v.s.) duke u dhënë mes'h çallmës dhe mesteve».
٧٣٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ وَهْبٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ - ﷺ - مَسَحَ عَلَى الْعِمَامَةِ وَالْخُفَّيْنِ».
734 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Sa'id ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from 'Amr ibn Wahb al-Thaqafi, from al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, who said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) wipe over the turban and the leather socks."

735 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Tu'me bin Amër el-Xha'feriu, nga Omer bin Bejani, nga Urve bin el-Mugire bin Shu'be, nga babai i tij, i cili ka thënë: Pejgamberi (s.a.v.s.) ka thënë: «Kush shet alkool, le të copëtojë edhe mishin e derrave» (162).

(162) Në botimin e Dar el-Ma'rife ka një shtesë (domethënë t'i copëtojë ato).
٧٣٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا طُعْمَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْجَعْفَرِيُّ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ بَيَانٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «مَنْ بَاعَ الْخَمْرَ فَلْيُشَقِّصِ الْخَنَازِيرَ» (162).

735 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Tu'mah bin 'Amr al-Ja'fari narrated to us, from 'Umar bin Bayan, from 'Urwah bin al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah, from his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: "Whoever sells wine, let him butcher pigs" (162).

(162) In the Dar al-Ma'rifah edition, there is an addition: (meaning to slaughter them).

736 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ibn Fadale, nga Zijad b. Xhubejri, nga babai i tij, nga Mugire b. Shube, i cili ka thënë - dhe nuk e di ndryshe vetëm se si marfu (fjalë e Pejgamberit): «Kalorësi (163) qëndron prapa xhenazes, ndërsa këmbësori ecën ku të dojë; para saj afër», ose në të djathtë të saj afër, ose në të majtë të saj afër.

(163) Në botimin e Dar el-Ma'rifeh ka një shtesë (ecën).
٧٣٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ - وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا مَرْفُوعًا، قَالَ: «الرَّاكِبُ (163) خَلْفَ الْجِنَازَةِ وَالْمَاشِي حَيْثُ شَاءَ مِنْهَا أَمَامَهَا قَرِيبًا»، أَوْ عَنْ يَمِينِهَا قَرِيبًا، أَوْ يَسَارِهَا قَرِيبًا.

736 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Ibn Fadalah narrated to us, from Ziyad bin Jubayr, from his father, from Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah, who said - and I do not know it except as a Marfu' (attributed to the Prophet) report: "The rider (163) is behind the funeral procession, and the walker is wherever he wishes from it: in front of it nearby," or to its right nearby, or to its left nearby.

737 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ibn Fadale, nga Zijad bin Xhubejr bin Hajje, nga babai i tij, nga Mugire bin Shube, i cili ka thënë - dhe nuk e shoh atë veçse si marfu' (të përcjellë nga Pejgamberi s.a.v.s.) - ka thënë: «Për foshnjën e dështuar falet namazi (i xhenazes) dhe për prindërit e tij lutet për falje dhe mëshirë.»
٧٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ حَيَّةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ - وَلَا أُرَاهُ إِلَّا مَرْفُوعًا، قَالَ: «السُّقْطُ يُصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ، وَيُدْعَى لِوَالِدَيْهِ بِالْمَغْفِرَةِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ».
737 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Ibn Fadalah narrated to us, from Ziyad bin Jubayr bin Hayyah, from his father, from Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah, who said - and I do not think it is except Marfu' (attributed to the Prophet (saw)) - he said:

"The miscarried fetus is prayed over, and forgiveness and mercy are supplicated for its parents."

738 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Ibn Fadale, nga Zijad bin Xhubejri, nga babai i tij, i cili ka thënë: «U nisëm bashkë me Nu'man bin Mukarrinin dhe arritëm te një i huaj (el-ilxh) me vetulla të trasha. Ata na dërguan lajm: 'Më dërgoni një njeri që të bisedoj me të'. Ai tha: Atë ditë njerëzit zgjodhën Mugire bin Shuben. Babai im tha: Sikur po e shoh atë burrë me një sy, i cili kishte me vete një mburojë prej lëkure; ai ishte Mugire bin Shube. Kur arritëm te i huaji, ai (Mugire) tha: 'Allahu i Madhëruar dërgoi te ne një Pejgamber, të cilit Allahu i premtoi fitoren. Çdo gjë që na ka lajmëruar i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.), e kemi gjetur ashtu siç na ka lajmëruar'».
٧٣٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: «انْطَلَقْنَا مَعَ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ مُقَرِّنٍ فَانْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى الْعِلْجِ ذَا الْحَاجِبِ، فَأَرْسَلُوا إِلَيْنَا أَنِ ابْعَثُوا إِلَيَّ رَجُلًا لِأُكَلِّمَهُ، قَالَ: فَاخْتَارَ النَّاسُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ أَبِي: فَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى رَجُلٍ أَعْوَرَ مَعَهُ حَجَفَةٌ لَهُ، فَإِذَا هُوَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ، فَانْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى الْعِلْجِ فَقَالَ: بَعَثَ اللهُ ﷿ فِينَا نَبِيًّا وَعَدَهُ اللهُ النَّصْرَ، فَمَا أَخْبَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ - ﷺ - بِشَيْءٍ إِلَّا وَجَدْنَاهُ كَمَا أَخْبَرَنَا».
738 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Ibn Fadalah narrated to us, from Ziyad bin Jubayr, from his father, who said: "We set out with Al-Nu'man bin Muqarrin until we reached the non-Arab leader (Al-Ilj) with the eyebrow (Dha al-Hajib). They sent word to us saying: 'Send a man to me so that I may speak with him.' He said: So the people chose Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah on that day. My father said: It is as if I am looking at a one-eyed man carrying a small shield (hajafah) of his, and it was Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah. We reached the non-Arab leader, and he (Al-Mughirah) said: 'Allah (the Mighty and Sublime) sent a Prophet among us, and Allah promised him victory. Our Messenger (saw) did not inform us of anything except that we found it exactly as he told us.'"
