1113 - Na ka treguar Ebu Davudi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Selam bin Sulejmi, i cili ka thënë: Na ka treguar Asim bin Kulejbi, nga babai i tij, nga Vail el-Hadremiu, i cili ka thënë: «Fala namazin pas Pejgamberit (s.a.v.s.) dhe thashë me vete: Do ta mësoj mirë namazin e tij! Ai e filloi namazin, mori tekbir dhe i ngriti duart e tij derisa arritën te veshët e tij, dhe e kapi dorën e majtë me të djathtën.
Kur deshi të bënte ruku, mori tekbir dhe i ngriti duart ashtu siç i ngriti kur filloi namazin, dhe i vendosi shuplakat e tij mbi gjunjë kur u përkul në ruku. Kur e ngriti kokën nga rukuja, i ngriti duart ashtu siç i ngriti kur filloi namazin.
Pastaj bëri sexhde, pastaj e shtroi këmbën e tij të majtë dhe u ul mbi të. Tha: Pastaj e vendosi shuplakën e tij të djathtë mbi kofshën e tij të djathtë dhe dorën e tij të majtë mbi kofshën e tij të majtë, dhe filloi të lutej kështu» - d.m.th. me gishtin tregues, duke bërë shenjë me të.

- حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَلَّامُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ ،
قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ وَائِلٍ
الْحَضْرَمِيِّ ، قَالَ: «صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ - فَقُلْتُ:
لَأَحْفَظَنَّ صَلَاتَهُ! فَافْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ فَكَبَّرَ وَرَفَعَ
يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى بَلَغَ أُذُنَيْهِ وَأَخَذَ شِمَالَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ،
فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ كَبَّرَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ كَمَا
رَفَعَهُمَا حِينَ افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ، وَوَضَعَ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَى
رُكْبَتَيْهِ حِينَ رَكَعَ، فَلَمَّا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ
رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ كَمَا رَفَعَهُمَا حِينَ افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ، ثُمَّ
سَجَدَ فَافْتَرَشَ قَدَمَهُ الْيُسْرَى فَقَعَدَ عَلَيْهَا، قَالَ: ثُمَّ
وَضَعَ كَفَّهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى وَيَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى
عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى وَجَعَلَ يَدْعُو هَكَذَا» - يَعْنِي
بِالسَّبَّابَةِ، يُشِيرُ بِهَا.
1113 - Abu Dawud narrated to us, he said: Sallam bin Sulaym narrated to us, he said: 'Asim bin Kulayb narrated to us, from his father, from Wa'il al-Hadrami, who said: 'I prayed behind the Prophet (saw) and said to myself: I will certainly memorize his prayer! He opened the prayer, said the Takbir, and raised his hands until they reached his ears, and he took his left hand with his right. When he intended to bow, he said the Takbir and raised his hands just as he had raised them when he opened the prayer, and he placed his palms on his knees when he bowed. When he raised his head from bowing, he raised his hands just as he had raised them when he opened the prayer. Then he prostrated, and then he spread his left foot and sat upon it. He said: Then he placed his right palm on his right thigh and his left hand on his left thigh, and he began supplicating like this' - meaning with the index finger, pointing with it.
