Atëherë Ibrahimi (a.s.) tha: "Me këtë, Muhamedi (s.a.v.s.) ju ka tejkaluar." Ai tha: "Muhamedi, i Dërguari i Allahut (s.a.v.s.)." Ata pastaj u ulën me shokët e tyre. Pastaj Zoti i tij (i Lartësuar) i tha atij: "Kërko." Ai tha: "Me pesëdhjetë namaze." Ai tha: "Me dyzet namaze." Ai tha: "Me tridhjetë." Ai tha: "Me njëzet namaze." Ai tha: "Me dhjetë." Ai tha: "Me pesë."
55 - Muhammad ibn Hassan narrated to us, Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, from Abu Ja'far al-Razi, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah or someone else, from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) was brought a horse that placed its every stride at the furthest point of its vision. He traveled, and Gabriel (pbuh) traveled with him, until he came upon a people who were sowing in one day and harvesting in one day; whenever they harvested, the crop returned as it was. He asked, "O Gabriel, who are these?" He replied, "These are the mujahideen in the cause of Allah; their good deeds are multiplied seven hundred times, and whatever they spend, He replaces it." Then he came upon a people whose heads were being crushed with boulders; whenever they were crushed, they returned to their original state, and the punishment never ceased for a moment. He asked, "O Gabriel, who are these?" He replied, "These are those whose heads felt too heavy to perform the prescribed prayers." Then he came upon a people who had patches on their fronts and patches on their backs, grazing like cattle graze upon bitter thorns (Dhari'), Zaqqum, and the hot stones of Hell. I said, "Who are these, O Gabriel?" He replied, "These are the ones who did not pay the alms (Zakat) on their wealth, and Allah did not wrong them, for Allah is never unjust to His servants." Then he came upon a people who had before them cooked meat in a pot and other raw, foul meat, and they began eating the foul meat and leaving the good, cooked meat. He asked, "O Gabriel, who are these?" He replied, "This is a man from your nation who has a lawful wife but goes to a foul woman and spends the night with her until morning; and a woman who leaves her lawful, good husband to go to a foul man and spends the night with him until morning." Then he came upon a man who had gathered a huge bundle of wood that he could not carry, yet he wanted to add more to it. He asked, "O Gabriel, what is this?" He replied, "This is a man from your nation who is entrusted with people's trusts which he cannot fulfill, yet he seeks to take on more." Then he came upon a people whose lips and tongues were being clipped with shears of iron; whenever they were clipped, they returned as they were, and the punishment never ceased for a moment. He asked, "O Gabriel, who are these?" He replied, "The preachers of fitna (discord)." Then he came upon a small stone from which a huge bull emerged; the bull then wanted to re-enter from where it had come but could not. He asked, "What is this, O Gabriel?" He replied, "This is a man who speaks a great word and then regrets it, and he wishes to take it back but cannot." Then he came upon a valley and found a pleasant scent and the fragrance of musk along with a voice. He asked, "What is this?" He replied, "This is the voice of Paradise saying: 'O Lord, bring me my inhabitants and what You have promised me, for my trees, silk, brocade, thick silk, carpets, coral, silver, gold, cups, plates, pitchers, fruits, honey, garments, milk, and wine have increased. Bring me what You promised me.' He said: 'For you is every Muslim man and woman, every believing man and woman, and whoever believes in Me and My Messengers, does righteous deeds, does not associate anything with Me, and does not take rivals besides Me; such a one is safe. Whoever asks Me, I shall give to him; whoever lends to Me, I shall reward him; and whoever relies upon Me, I shall suffice him. Truly, I am Allah, there is no god but I; My promise is never broken. The believers have indeed attained success. Blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators.' She replied, 'I am satisfied.'" Then he came upon a valley and heard an atrocious sound. He asked, "O Gabriel, what is this sound?" He replied, "This is the voice of Hell, saying: 'O Lord, bring me my inhabitants and what You have promised me, for my chains, shackles, blazing fire, boiling water, pus, and foul discharge have increased. My depth has become distant and my heat has intensified. Bring me what You promised me.' He said: 'For you is every polytheist man and woman, every wicked man and woman, and every tyrant who does not believe in the Day of Account.' It said: 'I am satisfied.'" Then he traveled until he reached Bayt al-Maqdis and descended. He tethered his horse to a rock and prayed with the angels. When the prayer was finished, they asked, "O Gabriel, who is this with you?" He said, "This is Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, the Seal of the Prophets." They asked, "Has he already been sent for?" He said, "Yes." They said, "May Allah grant him life as a brother and a successor; what an excellent brother and an excellent successor." Then they met the souls of the prophets, who praised their Lord, the Exalted. Abraham (pbuh) said, "O Allah, Who took me as an intimate friend, gave me a great kingdom, made me a submissive nation, chose me for His message, rescued me from the fire and made it cool and safe for me." Then Moses (pbuh) praised his Lord, saying, "Praise be to Allah Who spoke to me directly, chose me, revealed the Torah to me, and brought about the destruction of Pharaoh and the salvation of the Children of Israel at my hands." Then David (pbuh) praised his Lord, saying, "Praise be to Allah Who gave me a kingdom, revealed the Psalms to me, softened iron for me, and subjected the mountains to me, which glorify Him along with me, as well as the birds, and gave me wisdom and decisive speech." Then Solomon praised his Lord (the Exalted), saying, "Praise be to Allah Who subjected the winds to me, as well as the jinn and mankind, and subjected the devils to me, who performed whatever I willed of sanctuaries, statues, basins like reservoirs, and fixed cauldrons; and He taught me the speech of birds, caused the spring of molten copper to flow for me, and gave me a kingdom that shall not belong to anyone after me." Then Jesus (pbuh) praised his Lord, saying, "Praise be to Allah Who taught me the Torah and the Gospel, and made me heal the blind and the leper and bring the dead to life by His permission, and raised me and purified me from those who disbelieve, and protected me and my mother from the accursed Satan, and gave Satan no way over us." Then Muhammad (pbuh) praised his Lord, saying, "All of you have praised your Lord, and I praise my Lord: Praise be to Allah Who sent me as a mercy to the worlds and to all mankind as a giver of glad tidings and a warner, and revealed to me the Criterion (the Quran) in which is an explanation for all things, and made my nation the best nation brought forth for mankind, and made my nation a middle nation, and made my nation the first and the last, and expanded my chest for me, removed from me my burden, exalted for me my mention, and made me an opener and a sealer." Abraham (pbuh) then said, "With this, Muhammad (pbuh) has surpassed you." Then he was brought three covered vessels. A vessel was handed to him and it was said, "Drink." It contained water. Then another vessel was handed to him containing milk, and he drank from it until he was satisfied. Then another vessel was handed to him containing wine, but he said, "I am satisfied and will not taste it." It was said to him, "You have done right; truly it will be forbidden for your nation, and had you drunk it, only a few of your nation would have followed you." Then he was ascended to the heaven, and Gabriel asked for it to be opened. It was said, "Who is this?" He said, "Gabriel." It was said, "And who is with you?" He said, "Muhammad (pbuh)." They said, "Has he been sent for?" He said, "Yes." They said, "May Allah grant him life as a brother and a successor; what an excellent brother and an excellent successor, and what an excellent arrival he has made." He entered, and there he saw an old man sitting, of perfect stature, with nothing diminished from his creation as is diminished from the creation of humans. To his right was a door from which a pleasant scent emerged, and to his left was a door from which a foul scent emerged. When he looked at the door on his right, he laughed, and when he looked at the door on his left, he wept and grieved. He asked, "O Gabriel, who is this old man and what are these two doors?" He said, "This is your father Adam, and this door on his right is the gate of Paradise; when he sees those of his progeny who enter it, he laughs and rejoices. And when he looks at the door on his left, it is the gate of Hell; when he sees those of his progeny who enter it, he weeps and grieves." Then he ascended to the second heaven and asked for it to be opened. It was said, "Who is this?" He said, "Gabriel." They asked, "And who is with you?" He said, "Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (pbuh)." They asked, "Has he been sent for?" He said, "Yes." They said, "May Allah grant him life as a brother and a successor; what an excellent brother and an excellent successor, and what an excellent arrival he has made." He entered, and there were two young men. He asked, "O Gabriel, who are these two young men?" He said, "These are Jesus and John, the sons of maternal aunts." Then he ascended to the third heaven and Gabriel asked for it to be opened. They said, "Who is this with you?" He said, "Muhammad." They said, "Has he been sent for?" He said, "Yes." They said, "May Allah grant him life as a brother and a successor; what an excellent brother and an excellent successor, and what an excellent arrival he has made." He entered, and there was a man who had been favored over other people in beauty as the moon on the night of its fullness is favored over all the other stars. He asked, "Who is this, O Gabriel?" He said, "Your brother Joseph (pbuh)." Then he ascended to the fourth heaven and Gabriel asked for it to be opened. They said, "Who is this with you?" He said, "Muhammad (pbuh)." They said, "Has he been sent for?" He said, "Yes." They said, "May Allah grant him life as a brother and a successor, and what an excellent arrival he has made." He entered, and there was a man. He asked, "O Gabriel, who is this man sitting?" He said, "This is your brother Idris, whom Allah raised to a high station." Then he was ascended to the fifth heaven and Gabriel asked for it to be opened. They said to him, "Who is this with you?" He said, "Muhammad (pbuh)." They said, "Has he been sent for?" He said, "Yes." They said, "May Allah grant him life as a brother and a successor; what an excellent brother and an excellent successor, and what an excellent arrival he has made." He entered, and there was a man sitting and narrating stories to them. He asked, "O Gabriel, who is this and who are these around him?" He said, "This is Aaron (pbuh), who was left with his people, and these are his people from the Children of Israel." Then he was ascended to the sixth heaven and Gabriel asked for it to be opened. They said, "Who is this with you?" He said, "Muhammad (pbuh)." They said, "Has he been sent for?" He said, "Yes." They said, "May Allah grant him life as a brother and a successor; how excellent a brother and how excellent a successor, and what an excellent arrival he has made." There he saw a man sitting. He passed him and the man wept. He asked, "O Gabriel, who is this?" He said, "This is Moses (pbuh)." He asked, "What makes him weep?" He said, "The Children of Israel claim that I am the best of creation, yet this one has succeeded me; and if it were only him alone, but with him is his entire nation." Then we were ascended to the seventh heaven and Gabriel asked for it to be opened. They said, "Who is with you?" He said, "Muhammad (pbuh)." They said, "Has he been sent for?" He said, "Yes." They said, "May Allah grant him life as a brother and a successor; what an excellent brother and an excellent successor, and what an excellent arrival he has made." There he saw a gray-haired man sitting on a chair by the gate of Paradise, and with him were people sitting whose complexions had something (of a blemish). Isa—meaning Abu Ja'far al-Razi—said: And I heard him once say: "with blackened faces." Those who had something in their complexions stood up and entered a river called "The Grace of Allah." They bathed and came out with some of the blemish removed from their complexions. Then they entered another river called "The Mercy of Allah," bathed, and came out with more of it removed. Then they entered another river—and that is His saying: {And their Lord will give them a pure drink} [Al-Insan: 21]—and they came out with their complexions cleared, just like the complexions of their companions. They then sat with their companions. He asked, "O Gabriel, who is this gray-haired man sitting? And who are these with white faces? And who are these whose complexions had something, then they entered these rivers and bathed in them and came out with their complexions cleared?" He said, "This is your father Abraham (pbuh), the first to turn gray on earth. These people with white faces are a people who did not clothe their faith with injustice. And these whose complexions had something are those who mixed a righteous deed with another that was evil; they repented, and Allah accepted their repentance." Then he proceeded to the Lote Tree (Sidrah), and it was said to him, "This is the Lote Tree of the Furthest Boundary (Sidrat al-Muntaha). Every single one of your nation who follows your path ends up here." It is the Sidrat al-Muntaha; from its base emerge rivers of water that never stalls, rivers of milk whose taste never changes, rivers of wine that is a delight to those who drink it, and rivers of purified honey. It is a tree under whose shade a rider can travel for seventy years, and a single leaf from it could shade the entire creation. Then it was covered by light and the angels covered it. Isa said: That is His saying: {When there covered the Lote Tree that which covered} [An-Najm: 16]. Then his Lord (the Exalted) said to him, "Ask." He said, "You took Abraham as an intimate friend and gave him a great kingdom; You spoke to Moses directly; You gave David a great kingdom, softened iron for him, and subjected the mountains to him; You gave Solomon a great kingdom and subjected to him the jinn, mankind, the devils, and the winds, and gave him a kingdom that shall not belong to anyone after him; You taught Jesus the Torah and the Gospel and made him heal the blind and the leper and protected him and his mother from the accursed Satan so he had no way over them." His Lord (the Exalted) said to him, "I have taken you as an intimate friend, and it is written in the Torah: 'Muhammad is the Beloved of the Most Merciful.' I have sent you to all of mankind, and I made your nation the first and the last. I have ordained that no sermon (Khutbah) is valid for your nation until they testify that you are My servant and My Messenger. I made you the first of the Prophets in creation and the last of them to be commissioned. I gave you the Seven Oft-Repeated verses (Al-Fatiha), which I did not give to any prophet before you. I gave you the concluding verses of Surah Al-Baqarah from a treasure beneath the Throne, which I did not give to any prophet before you. And I made you an opener and a sealer." The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "My Lord (the Exalted) favored me with six things: He cast terror into the hearts of my enemies for the distance of a month’s journey; spoils of war have been made lawful for me while they were not lawful for anyone before me; the earth has been made for me a place of prayer and a means of purification; I have been given the openings of speech and its comprehensive expressions; my nation was shown to me such that neither the followers nor those followed among them were hidden from me; and I saw them coming upon a people who wear shoes of hair, and I saw them coming upon a people with broad faces and small eyes, and I recognized who they were. And I was commanded fifty prayers." He returned to Moses, and Moses asked him, "How many prayers were you commanded?" He said, "Fifty prayers." Moses said, "Return to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction for your nation, for your nation is the weakest of nations, and I have dealt with the Children of Israel with great difficulty." So Muhammad (pbuh) returned and asked Allah (the Mighty and Majestic) for a reduction, and He removed ten. He returned to Moses, who asked, "How many were you commanded?" He said, "Forty prayers." Moses said, "Return to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction for your nation, for your nation is the weakest of nations, and I have dealt with the Children of Israel with great difficulty." So Muhammad (pbuh) returned and asked Him for a reduction, and He removed ten. He returned to Moses, who asked him, "How many were you commanded?" He said, "Thirty." Moses said, "Return to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction for your nation, for your nation is the weakest of nations, and I have dealt with the Children of Israel with great difficulty." So Muhammad returned and asked his Lord for a reduction, and He removed ten. He returned to Moses, who asked him, "How many were you commanded?" He said, "Twenty prayers." Moses said, "Return to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction for your nation, for your nation is the weakest of nations, and I have dealt with the Children of Israel with great difficulty." So Muhammad (pbuh) returned and asked his Lord for a reduction, and He removed ten. He returned to Moses, who asked him, "How many were you commanded?" He said, "Ten." Moses said, "Return to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction for your nation, for your nation is the weakest of nations, and I have dealt with the Children of Israel with great difficulty." So Muhammad returned and asked his Lord for a reduction, and He removed five. He returned to Moses, who asked, "How many were you commanded?" He said, "Five." Moses said, "Return to your Lord and ask Him for a reduction, for your nation is the weakest of nations, and I have dealt with the Children of Israel with great difficulty." He said, "I have returned to my Lord until I feel shy before Him, and I will not return to Him again." Then it was said to him, "Just as you have been patient with the five, they shall be rewarded as fifty; every good deed will be rewarded tenfold." Isa said: It has reached me that the Prophet (pbuh) said: "Moses (pbuh) was the firmest of them upon me at first and the best of them to me at last."
